Rusty Bull — Restaurant in Apple Valley

I could not say enough about the food, quality, and the service at the Rusty Bull in Apple Valley. Our waitress Bree was on top of everything from the minute we walked in the door, tell the moment we left. Just about the best service you could ever ask for in a restaurant. The food is absolutely over the top awesome. In a time where prices just continue to skyrocket, and portions and quality dwindled down to nothing at most places, that is not the case at the Rusty Bull. Today I ordered the French dip. Omg, it was probably the best French dip I have ever had in my life. About 2 inches of solid perfectly cooked sliced and tender juicy roast beef as I have ever had in a sandwich. Probably enough to make two or three sandwiches at other restaurants. The hoagie roll tasted like it was just fresh out of the oven 5 minutes ago. It was so large that I took half of it home. And for not much more than the price of a sub sandwich from subway now, which I might add is just completely horrible nowadays. The onion rings we're also awesome, cooked to perfection. Maria had the roast beef Ortega sandwich, and it was just as good. It is no wonder every day that you drive by the Rusty Bull Restaurant, the parking lot is almost always packed. They have done an absolutely outstanding job with this place, and obviously the reputation shows. The atmosphere is just wonderful, a great place for happy hour, parties, after work get-togethers, weddings receptions and anything in between. Super clean and cozy. This place was excellent! Imma give a detailed review of our whole experience. Walking inside the building the hostess immediately greeted us and told us it would be just a moment and yeah it was only like a minute wait. Not bad at all!:) We received a table and our server Leilani immediately came to see what we'd like to drink. Like I mean within 30 seconds of us sitting down. That was impressive!😎 We got drinks and she checked on us once and we said just a couple minutes she came back very friendly and polite took our order & throughout the entire time we were there Leilani made sure we received top tier service. Props to Leilani for great customer service skills! She deserves a raise! We were a bit iffy on the prices but oh my gosh when I say the portions make up for that would be an understatement! You receive a lot of food for the price. Yes they are pricey and if they didn't give good portions my review would be a bit different. I really loved the southern feel of this place. It honestly reminded me of a restaurant I went to in Fort Smith Arkansas. The meals we got were Mac n Cheese, loaded Taters and Ribs & Chicken. I am one that really loves Mac n Cheese so of course that's what i ordered and I was impressed I loved the taste and the damn massive portions. 😋 The Loaded Taters were some of the best loaded taters I've had. I was thoroughly impressed. My wife enjoyed her ribs & chicken she ate almost ALL of it and there was a LOT of food. She almost never gets close to finishing even smaller meals so that's a testament to how much she enjoyed it. Overall we enjoyed the experience and will make a visit again sometime...

My husband and I have come today on our third dinner to the Rusty Biull. It will be our last, we came in on a Wednesday night, they were busy but no wait time to be seated. We placed our order within 10 minutes of being seated. A large group of about 10-12 people came in and were seated across from us. They took about 20 minutes to place their order after coming in. They received their food about 30 minutes later. We still hadn’t received ours by that time. An hour after coming in, we got our food. It was completely burnt. My husband’s steak was well past well done and he ordered it medium rare. My Philly cheesesteak was not only burnt but not even chopped as it should’ve been. After seeing this, we sent our food back. Our waitress was very polite and professional about the situation and removed the food from our tab. The manager came over to talk to us and gave us a gift card to try and mend the situation. She added that we could use the gift card on a certain day when she would be there for better service. We feel that the service and food we received was because we are in a biracial relationship.
