Pampa-rara — Restaurant in Apple Valley

I had gotten a Door Dash delivery for this restaurant and I couldn't believe that I never know this Mexican restaurant was here this whole time. I went inside and I guess it was dollar taco 🌮 day from your choice of chicken or carne asada 😁🤤😋 The lady that runs the mom and pop shop restaurant was so nice when I picked up my delivery and told her I will probably be back once I was off of work because I was intrigued by there dollar taco deal. I came back to their restaurant a few hours later and ordered there carne asada tacos 🌮 and yesss Surrey!! They were so good and loaded with meat. Now to back my story up just a bit, I must tell you about another family that arrived while I was waiting for my food and I asked if they've ever ate there before and the mother and father two to daughters who had just got done playing softball 🥎 were raving about this restaurant. I mean this must be the spot as they had so many good things to say about the cooking and how nice the employees that worked there are. I also found out that all their burritos or anything made with flour tortillas are homemade tortillas that they lady that works the front of the restaurant makes fresh batches every week and you are able to buy a dozen of homemade tortillas if you ever want some for home from Monday through Thursday. I absolutely love homemade tortillas and it's hard to find many places out here in the High Desert that make and sell them by the dozen and I've now found the closest location to me and I'm super excited about that. I do plan to buy some here this week and I did try a quesadilla from there and just from the quesadilla I could tell the tortilla was made from pure scratch and was pure heaven with that cheese melted inside of it. I highly recommend trying this Mom And Pop Restaurant and supporting our local business which has better quality food than Del Taco or other food chains. Hey but that's just my own opinion. You might spend a little more but it is well worth it! Especially after my last experience with Del Taco 🌮 that located right across the highway from this restaurant and I spent around the same price for an epic burrito 🌯 from Del Taco and the carne asada was completely burnt to a crisp. $10.00 Del Taco burrito is just not worth what you would get at this little restaurant and homemade tortilla is just the top notch of the experience for me. Please try this place and if you have it delivered maybe I'll be your delivery person 👍🏻🤷🏻‍♀️😁 Uber Eats and Door Dash. Or experience the atmosphere of the restaurant for yourself and check it out. So I only came here for the rave reviews that I recently read about. Open entering, I noticed it was a small place and you have to wait to be seated. The waitress who helped us must have been new because she definitely needed more training. I already new I wanted to try the fish tacos because according to the Yelp review, those were the best. I ordered the fish tacos, wet pork burrito and shrimp tacos and a kids meal for the family. For a Mexican restaurant, they didn't have Horchata, Tecate, or Bud light which was sort of disappointing. The owner kept on checking on us which is partially why I gave this review 3 stars instead of less. Upon receiving the fish taco plate, I noticed there was a lot of cabbage on top, I couldn't even see the fish. The salad was average but needed salad dressing and the rice was the best thing on the plate unfortunately. My daughter had the pork burrito and she said it was too salty, my other daughter said the shrimp tacos were good without the tortillas, which they make by hand. And another thing that I noticed was nobody preparing the food were wearing hair nets, and that concerned me a little. Do not come here! Seriously they had to pay or have a lot of family post reviews!! This is the worst place I ever been too. The place is a hole in the wall. Decor and environment did not match food/menu. Dirty pots and pans can be seen from register area, cookery were crusted with food, looks like weeks or months it has not been cleaned!
