Came here with my wife and 6 year old daughter.
For me I had both the Shrimp Alfredo Pasta and the Gyro with Waffle Fries. I really couldn't decide so I felt forced to get both. Gyro had diced cucumbers in it, and the Tsaziki sauce was bland and missing garlic, I think, but it had no taste really at all. I asked for it without lettuce or tomatoes like normal but I would NEVER order that Gyro again here for anything. If this is the way it is supposed to be they need to remove it from the menu permanently as this isn't the way it should be at all and YES I am aware of the authentic taste and this is like 10% of it for only texture and being white. Nothing in the taste was appealingly close and I didn't eat more than about a quarter of it taking it home to get a side of sauce elsewhere to finish it. The Shrimp Alfredo was mostly sauce with noodles and shrimp. I would have loved to have more spice to the sauce but it was ok. The noodles seemed to be a bit on the smaller portion side and with so much sauce it seems more like I was shorted noodles. The garlic bread was pretty good though and kind of saved the day. Quantity of shrimp seemed sufficient.
My wife had the Fish and Shrimp with Sweet Potato Waffle Fries. She was given a golden colored sauce (marmalade maybe) but had to ask for tarter sauce. She said it wasn't the best and wished she had been give cocktail sauce as well but we didn't ask for that. We did have Ketchup and Salt and Pepper at the table to add flavor too. She said the Shrimp was the best part of her food with a 10/10, the fish a 9/10 and her fries she said she would have been happier without them but she isn't a fan if Sweet potatoes like she is Yams with sauce.
Our daughter got the Corn Dog and Tots for Kids and ate the Corn Dog but the Tots I had a hard time getting her to finish them even with the ice cream desert looming as a prize for finishing them but she was too busy playing on a phone to care. Don't know if that means anything but she is very picky and usually won't eat much but every time I reminded her she had another one but didn't even eat half of them.
Waitress was good, she check in us many times and asked if we needed anything. She refulled our drinks and checked to see if we wanted desert and even asked if we needed a bag for our leftovers after I had asked already for a to-go box.
Overall the experience was good. I am very picky and I would come back but NOT EVER...
Read moreLet me start by saying that we love supporting locals and dive bars. We will pay more for service comparing “shrimp to shrimp”.
The atmosphere is classic dive bar. ⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2
Allow me to set the scene. Picture a warm August Saturday night around 7:15 pm in a small beach-adjacent town. You’re hungry and figure since you are literally at the gulf cost, what better place to get some shrimp than a place with shrimp in the name.
We walked into the dainty establishment where there was ample seating even though there is apparently nightly free BINGO. We were greeted by a lady from behind the bar that handed us paper menus and were told to sit wherever we wanted and come back up to the bar to order.
My wife and I had just about decided on our choices and were about to get up to go order when the same young woman walked over to us and asked if we were ready to order and if we had more guests coming.
We told her “no” on both accounts. She told us that there were plenty of 2 and 4 tops available as we were seated at a ten top. Now, remember when she did not seat is and told us to sit wherever we wanted. Well, we wanted to sit away from the BINGO and not in the middle of the room.
She continued to grouse about all of the empty seats as she ambled back to the bar.
We looked at each other and almost simultaneously said “let’s go”.
If bingo, no crowds, and rude wait staff are your cup of tea; then this is the...
Read moreMyy first experience was back soon after opening. I ordered a gyro, my all time favorite, lamb with fresh cucumber and Greek sauce topped with feta cheese and diced fresh tomatoes on pita fold bread... since it was first couple weeks in a startup restruant I withheld my opinion giving consideration to newness and inexperience. I assumed that had to be the case since the gyro was truly awful. Today is my 5th order, since then. I'm disappointed to see slow albeit almost non existent progress. My fish and shrimp fried basket was offer in menue with 2 fish filet and 3 shrimp. 16.00 the meal.wS short 1 fish filet and 1 shrimp which may not seem too bad, still 11 tots and katchup rather than horseradish ketchup shrimp sauce ND watery mayo mixed with relish for tarter sauce was disappointing. I'm still optimistic because other friends claim they have had enjoyable meals in the restruant but since I'm limited in my mobility, I order to go. Owners need to monitor this issue. I know how difficult it is to do a startup business and manage to obtain employees who follow protocols and venues. Still another 18 months to the full 2 year deadline most offer new establishments. So many of my friends love this place I have to assume it's a to go order slight to...
