Dairy Queen — Restaurant in Aransas Pass

I have frequented this DQ for over 20 years and the service and food has always been good until my last 2 visits. First of last two visits, I waited at the counter, for at least 10 minutes, to get a fork, while my food got cold. I finally called out to someone in the drive through area if I could please get a fork, only to to be rudely answered that I would get it in a minute. Last visit, when the server brought our food, I asked If he could bring me a fork. Never happened, so I went to the counter to ask for one. It was late at night and the store was not busy at all. After waiting for approximately 5 minutes and observing the cooks, standing around, and the 4 or 5 other servers in the drive through area, at least 2 of them having a casual conversation, I proceded to walk around the counter and get a fork, something I have never done before. It was so funny how I immediately caught every employee's attention and was told that I could not come behind the counter. Suggestion, if it is so hard for servers to remember silverware, please make it more accessible to customers and leave a few, at the front counter, where they don't have to be "bothered". Being so irritated, my party and I left without spending another $20 ...

Arrived to the speaker to be put on hold. Ordered a chicken strip kids meal for our 2 yr old son, waited a good 15 min plus, employee tries to bring the order from the car behind which she stated consisted of a 4 piece and 6 piece meal, still no kids meal. Gave the ice cream after being asked to bring it when food came out then after handing my husband the bag takes it back out of his hands and says oh wait I already gave you the treat and rips the coupon off of the bag and hands us a ripped up bag with our kids food in it. With the wait most places would have given incentives but for someone to grab a paper bag and rip a coupon off that no one uses anyways was uncalled for especially after handing the bag in the car. I have been to many Dairy Queen locations here in Texas and let me just say Aransas Pass Tx location is by far the absolute worst. Two employees working the drive thru register were rude and had attitude. I asked them to remake my dipped cones as they were melted. Lady shouted at another employee that “she wants new ones because these are melted” proceeds to throw her hands up as if I was the problem and threw the cones in the trash. The gentleman working with her states “the chocolate is hot it’s not going to stay cold”. Makes no sense. If every other location I’ve been to can get it right, why not here?
