I think 4 stars is a fair rating. This is a solid 5-star price (amazing value), and probably 4-star food. I ordered the kung pow chicken and shrimp and requested extra spicy. My initial impression was really disappointing. While the container was huge, the food on top was dry and not spicy at all. I pressed on and after a few bites realized there was a layer off sauce to be found beneath and what a difference. The shrimp were small (think 30-count per pound, or quarter-sized) but that isn't a bad thing it's just a fact so you aren't surprised. The meal was vastly improved by the sauce and I'm convinced to visit again and try something new.

I get takeout from this place occasionally and I haven't been dissatisfied! Definitely catered towards Americans with the sweetness, flavors, etc but its not bad! I consider it as a local, cheaper alternative to Panda Express. For the price, it's hard to beat. You can get lunch specials for $7 here, and you can also order on Grubhub. So far I have tried the General Tsos and Sesame Chicken. They are both on the sweet side but I still enjoyed both! The portions are quite large too. I'm sure they have other great dishes here too.

I ordered Chicken with cashews there and 25% of the meal was celery. I like celery, but not at 25% content. It's a cheap filler, and you can guess why they use so much. Hope they made an extra dollar off me because I will never be back. What you see in the pic is all celery. I picked 95% of the celery out of my food because the amount was overwhelming. I left some of the smaller pieces in because they were so small they weren't worth the time to remove.

I ordered the wonton soup and the shrimp Yat mein for carry out. First off, the soup was nice and hot when i made it home. The broth had a good taste, but the wonton strips on the side were stale. I didn't think it would it was a huge issue since they would just go in the soup. The dumplings in the soup did not have a fresh taste. I finished just the broth and the wonton strips. Next was the shrimp Yat mein. The noodles were dry and had no real taste. I moved the noodles around, and there was hardly any sauce in the container! The shrimp used were very small, and like the dumplings in the soup, they didn't have a fresh taste. I took a couple of bites, but it was not worth finishing. Overall, it was pretty disappointing. The prices weren't bad, but I can't say I would try...

Me and my boyfriend have ordered from here for years and never any huge issues. Every once in a while our order would not be correct but after tonight I will not be ordering anymore from here. I ordered a wonton soup and after eating it I go to throw away the plastic container and I noticed something odd floating in the broth and upon further inspection it was not one not two but three bugs. They had wings and I immediately felt completely sick to my stomach. I know they leave their back door open in the restaurant that goes directly into the kitchen. So I am assuming bugs flew in and got into the soup and drown and they are serving it still to the public. If you choose to eat here please check your food carefully. This is absolutely disgusting and should not...

Give this place a try! I come to this area frequently for work, and have struggled to find a good quality takeout nearby. I found Hot Wok a few months back and have returned many times. You’ll see - this is run by a family. There seem to be teens and moms and grandpas all in there. How awesome is that? I wanted to say after great research and being a home chef, that the cashew chicken combo dinner with fried rice and wonton soup is the most indulgent thing you could bring to your hotel room. Notice that this review is not related to their low cost - I typically spend much more; dial in your favorite dish, and this place may be a game changer for you as...
