After the umpteenth person told me to visit Olive Grove for their crab cakes, I FINALLY went! Here’s everything my mom and I got: ▪️Corn Nuggets ($8.95) - a solid starter! I’d probably try something else next time though 🙂 ▪️Chicken Marsala ($17.25) - their entrees come with AYCE salad and breadsticks so I think the pricing is super generous, especially since their portions are huge. The chicken was good, but the alfredo def tasted better with some extra salt and pepper! ▪️Single Crab Cake ($28.95) - Really yum! My mom wanted a veggie as a side so we got steamed broccoli, lol. Not my first choice TBH, but that’s ok. The crab cake was really big and had minimal filler with big chunks of jumbo lump crab meat. I can def understand the hype, and I think it’s worth a try for sure. Curious to hear what you guys think if you’ve tried it? Let me know by leaving a comment below, Nomsters! ▪️Baklava Cheesecake ($7.99) - they get their desserts from a local bakery, and I dunno about the other cakes, but this cheesecake was LEGIT! Def make sure to get a slice for yourself at the end of your meal. Additional notes 📝 ▪️Service was outstanding! ▪️There was a big lot attached to the restaurant - yay for easy parking ▪️They often offer coupons online so make sure to check their website ▪️They ship their crab cakes nationwide 📍705 N Hammonds Ferry Road, #LinthicumHeights ⏰M-TH 11-9pm, Fr & Sa 11-10pm, Su 12-8pm #mdfood #mdfoodie #mdfoodies #marylandfoodies #marylandfoodie #dmvfood #crabcakes #fyp #foryou

The Olive Grove is an excellent Italian restaurant near the BWI airport. We've eaten there before, but that was before I started writing reviews. We were seated right away, and our server came by promptly to get our drink orders. Then he came back with our drinks and took our dinner orders. I pretty much always order eggplant parm when I go to Italian restaurants, and that's what I ordered at the Olive Grove. Don't confuse the Olive Grove with the Olive Garden. Olive Garden is a chain and their eggplant parm isn't nearly as good as it is at the Olive Grove. The other great dish they have at the Olive Grove is crab cakes. The Olive Grove crab cake, we which my wife had was perfect. She let me taste her crab cake. It had plenty of lump crab meat, and it was cooked just right The Ambiance at the Olive Grove was excellent. Soon after we arrived, the dinner crowd showed up. The tables were mostly all filled with diners but the noise level was reasonable. I could hear my wife and our cousin, and I didn't even have my hearing aids in my ears. There's free parking outside the restaurant, and the parking lot and the restaurant are wheelchair accessible. Update: 10/12/25 My wife and I had dinner here after picking up her brother and sister-in-law at the airport. She had a crab cake. It was huge and delicious. I had eggplant parmesan. I order eggplant Parmesan nearly every time I go to an Italian restaurant. This eggplant Parmesan was excellent.

I am currently 8 months pregnant and We chose to eat here after getting married at the court house with 15 family and friends. The waiter did a good job but all the food came out at different times so we all ate separately, my best friends husbands food was extremely cold and had to be sent back. I got the most expensive thing on the menu the Seafood combo and the crab cake tasted ok but when I got to the middle it was soggy and under cooked, the shrimp were rubber, the scallops were rubber and not edible, and the lobster tail was so dry I couldn’t even cut it. My 3 year old was so excited for seafood she picked at it and accepted the terrible flavor. I asked for the manager and he said “you ate half of it” I responded no my 3 year old who is also eating off of everyone’s plate ate some of it but majority is still on the plate minus half the crab cake until I got to the soggy center. The manager replied again you ate half so I’ll take half off and that’s it. Did not offer something else, did not offer a complimentary piece of cake for us just getting married and having a not so good experience, nothing. Not to mention the ceiling was moldy and the bathrooms were disgusting. I will never eat here again and do not recommend. This was an awful after marriage experience and I am very disappointed… that was a lot of gusts and there was a lot of money spent for this kind of service.

Excellent service food not so much. Had a family dinner catered here. The service and accommodations from the time I contacted the restaurant to the end of our dinner was excellent! They helped me in menu selection to keep cost in my budget when I started going overboard. I live that they didnt try to push me beyond budget.

Our server Michelle (??? If I remember right) was really accommodating. The room was nicely setup. As some reviews said the decor is dated but its clean. The staff was very helpful in setting up our equipment, serving dinner, desert, etc. My one teen wanted a kids meal instead of the buffet and it was no problem (I even understood the pricing). We preordered the kids entrees but that didnt get passed on. The service was still fast though!

Now the food would be my only disappointment. The shrimp scampi sauce had am overwhelming seafood taste. I didnt taste garlic, lemon or white wine. The beef burgundy delicious sauce, the meat cut, texture not quite right. Garlic mashed delicious especially with the gravy from the beef. Salad and breadsticks wasn't excellent but it was decent. I would suggest they do a garlic, butter, oregano, Parmesan cheese mix and brush on sticks for final pass thru the oven and sprinkle with course salt. The house salad dressing umm was missing something it was almost delicious but missed the mark a bit.

If the food changed just a smidge I would definitely return for another event. The service again was wonderful. If your looking for a place to host an event I'd consider them and maybe pick different...

Dined today with a group from my church. Great fellowship!! Food was good….not great, but good. In-house service was good; however, I had issue with the take out portion of my order. Customer service, consideration, and respect went totally out of the window when I phoned them to advise of inaccuracies in my order (I live quite a way from this establishment). After explaining that the seafood was missing from the Seafood Fettuccine I ordered, who I was told was the “manager” spoke with me briefly and seemed to amiably resolve the situation. He then fetched the waitress, Angela, who proceeded to insist that I didn’t ask for what I KNOW I ordered. (My husband only orders 1 of 3 varieties of meals when we dine out—Seafood Alfredo being one of them smhlol). She proceeded to “argue me down” that I hadn’t requested what I requested! How DARE she!! I’m assuming the “manager” within earshot, stood by, and let the waitress speak to a customer in that manner!!!! SMH….and not LOL. Obviously a miscommunication occurred, but for the manager handle the situation as he did….to call the waitress in and allow her to berate a customer, and he follow up with more of the same is totally unacceptable. Who’s the Manager?!?!?? Without belaboring this post, I needlessly say that I WIILL NOT be returning to this restaurant after being berated, disrespected, and humiliated as a paying customer attempting to reasonably address an issue. SHAME ON THEM!!!! *If you place a to-go-order, PULLEZZZE be sure to check it THOROUGHLY. Don’t trade...

I’m generally forgiving because I know & have been in those trenches. We have been here a number of times over the years. I recall good food & service. The last 3 times have been disappointing. Tonight we thought it would be better. Nope! Coming through the door the hag as the hostess (?) w/ the leastest had less than a friendly & welcoming demeanor. We sat & were next approached by the waiter Manny. He was pleasant enough in a forced kind of way. She ordered Veal Piccata. It came out cold & I think it was horse hide. (Tough, flavorless & if the sauce had any more cornstarch in it I could have use it to hang wallpaper.) We returned it & were charged for the sides for a ruined dinner as if it was our fault. I played it safe w/ a Cajun chicken sandwich. That was ok nothing to say wow! that was the best chicken sandwich I ever had. Had to find my own ketchup for the fries. (Ketchup was a generic brand) Not Heinz or Hunts. Could have been from the dollar store!? The overall atmosphere was dark, old & had an odor of dirty socks or sweaty tshirt. Not friendly, happy or inviting. Great location, past history from years back was totally different. We will not be back until there is a management / ownership change. Good money should be followed by good food, a friendly staff, good service & a feeling that I want to bring friends to impress. NOPE! To many other great choices to replace this sad excuse for Italian food. Hope the owner takes action to restore it to haw it once was. We will not be back & steer all away to someplace else. Good...
