Never got a chance to try the food since we left after waiting over a half hour for take out that never arrived. We gave up. Friendly people but poorly managed. Not a good first impression of Arcadia. It was at least a half hour and if I was told it was going to take that long by the guy who took my order I would have made other plans. I ordered one thing at the door then wanted to use the rest room which was locked. Two of your staff knocked on the door and said it was occupied so I waited at least 10 min when it was checked again and found to be empty. Two other ladies were waiting behind me too. So I continued to wait after that and finally went outside to let my boyfriend know that it was going to be a while. I went back in and a nice lady asked if she could help and I said that I am still waiting for a take out order. I finally went back outside to wait some more when my boyfriend said let's see what is going on. We told the same lady that we are still waiting so we stood by the register while she checked and looked at the yummy pastries and commented on the layout of the restaurant where the cleaning part is separate from the the kitchen and so on for another 5 - 10 minutes. My boyfriend worked as a head chef for years in many restaurants and was a cook in the Navy for years. He assessed the situation and said that it was ridiculous to wait that long. All the other customers were done eating so no new orders were going in and it was close to closing time. He said it was 40 minutes before we decided to leave, not 30, so we could check out more stores before they closed. When we canceled the order she did said they were getting it ready but it was getting ready for 40 min. We suspect that the order was not even put in until we both came in to inquire about the order. I never ran a restaurant but he has and he was not impressed. I hope you can improve the service so more customers can check out your great food. I...
Read moreFood wasn't bad but long wait after ordering with very few other patrons in restaurant Worse than that was our server (older woman) who seemed to be "the boss" was very abrupt and short with us even when placing the meals on table. With such a nice charming place and spacey u think she would be more inviting as the venue certainly is. Not many places in Arcadia to eat so I guess it is what it is. Oh and no breakfast served after 10:30. Perhaps our server also made our sandwiches and wasn't happy about it. We will NOT be back. In response to owners response Amazing what some will do to SAVE their business. Firstly. I was being truthful!!! You were very abrupt and we didn't know why. My son NEVER thru me under the bus and defamed his Mom by saying that "I'm always like that". Talk about lying and u use Gods name in vein. Shame on u. I was disappointed that I couldn't have breakfast but enjoyed my latte and never said or acted bad or unhappy. REALLY over food. My husband NEVER spoke w u and said everything was great (your lie #2). U gave them extra food. Really. They each only had a sandwich where was the extra food that I didn't ask for. I would of ordered lunch if I wanted it. There was NEVER mention of being short staffed but we did notice something with the young girl serving every table but what does that have to do w anything I WAS NOT having a BAD DAY just getting BAD service. I was enjoying time w our son who lives out of state. How dare u LIE that my son said (when I went to bathroom) that I was always like that. He is livid and wants to confront u personally. I DO find happiness but not HERE. Not to worry as I will continue to live life as happy as I do without visiting your establishment. And yea people do HURT others when they don't get what they want like u not getting a good review. God...
Read moreWe live out of state and chose to have lunch at MyShelley's after local family spoke highly of the food and atmosphere. This was my first time back to my hometown since my Mom passed away. February 4th was also my Mom's birthday so emotions within myself and family were high. The staff at MyShelley's went above and beyond for our group of 10. The ambience was perfect and I must add that even though it was 10 of us, we never felt cramped. There's nothing worse than trying to sit and enjoy a meal while feeling like you're sitting on someone's lap, this establishment is cozy yet spacious especially for a large group. My husband is always looking for a good gyro and MyShelley's did not disappoint with the gyro plate. I also like a good cuban and the one I received was fantastic. (Loved the garlic stuffed olives). Service was top-notch and friendly. We are thankful our family suggested MyShelley's for our family lunch. My husband and I was born and raised in Arcadia and lived in many other places (my husband has lived all over the world) and I can say that Arcadia has a gem with this restaurant. Embrace it because it's truly not only a beautiful establishment but it's providing fabulous food at affordable prices. If you think the prices for the amount of food you receive is high, you've apparently not been out much IMO. We will be returning...
