First time I ate there we got the spring rolls with peanut butter sauce, Jack's a** roll and 420 roll to go. Second time we got 420 roll and j-poppers and ate inside. Needless to say, the 420 roll was our favorite and blew away any other sushi we have had since Wisconsin (which is ironic since it isn't on the coast. Shout out to Soon's in Kenosha. And we now live on on east coast and sushi here hasn't been as good either).
The Jack's a** roll was a combination of a deep fried roll and a few fried prawns. The prawns were amazing perfectly crispy and the sauce on them was awesome. But the roll part was lackluster. The second time visiting we told them about it and the waitress pointed out that they had just the prawns as an appetizer! So I would recommend just getting the prawns.
The peanut butter sauce spring roll thing was pretty stuffed with lettuce and nothing much else so I wasn't a fan, but my husband enjoyed them. He agreed they were not amazing though. I'd skip these.
The j-poppers were very good. I am usually sensitive to fresh jalapeños but thankfully these had all the seeds removed so I didn't end up hiccupping from spiciness. There was no spicy flavor at all but the other flavors were phenomenal!
4 stars because some things can be improved and the price is ouch but the taste is great. Dining in probably caters more to a younger crowd with the music and decor being more like a trendy minimalist-vibe bar that uses their own used sake bottles as decor. Not that that is a bad thing. But if you're looking for a quiet fancy restaurant...

Our online order was missing 3 items (out of 6 total). When I went back to the restaurant, the staff informed me that one of the items was out of stock and they had marked it out online, and told me it wasn't possible for me to have ordered it. I showed them that I paid for it, and they told me a refund was not possible. Then they offered to make something of the same $ amount on the menu (which is barely anything), and I offered to order a different thing and pay the difference - they also told me this was not possible. Then they offered a refund, which I agreed to; I still have not received it.
For one of the other missing items, they did remake it. For the final missing item, they told me it was likely in the same container as one of the other sushi rolls I had ordered. It wasn't. So after having gone home, back to the restaurant, picked up a missing item, then went back home, I was still missing an entire roll + have not received a refund for the out-of-stock item.
I filed a problem report with Doordash's (their online order servicer) for both missing items and have not received any contact from the restaurant or DoorDash for the missing items.

Read moreOk, this review is for the manager. So the food tasted fine. But you were on vacation on June 10th, 2022 and your "manager-in-charge" was anything but that! The hostess didn't even know that there was a manager in charge and later, when she told us that our waitress was the manager in charge, it sounded as if they just decided that! We were 8 people and our table was ready about 9 pm. We didn't get our order in till about 15 minutes later and our first dish arrived at about 10 pm! Mind you, all of the hot meals arrived first. Most of our party was done with their food before our sushi arrived at about 10:20ish which seems odd since there was no cooking involved! And when they brought it, they assumed that we were going to eat it family style, so they served everything on one big platter, which toys a while to figure out who ordered what. And to make matters more complicated, there was a sushi item that we hadn't even ordered (they didn't charge us for it)! Your "manager in charge" started to explain that the cooking kitchen and sushi kitchen are in two different locations and yadda, yadda, yadda! They didn't coordinate.
