*update-24sept2022 7:30p.m. Ordered the chicken Parm. It was weird. It didn’t look anything like the pic. No garlic bread. No marinara sauce. No Parmesan cheese. As a matter fact, there was no Romain lettuce either. It was iceberg lettuce. And they put oranges and apples on it. It was awful. I’d really like to get my money back. When the manager asked you how your meal was, and you tell them that you weren’t happy with it, and there’s absolutely no reaction whatsoever, it kind of gives the impression that they don’t give a shit. Something to think about. It’s a lot of money to be paying for oranges and apples on your plate with your chicken Parmesan and your iceberg lettuce. It was gross. By the way, you might want to tell your bus boy that he needs to wipe off the high chairs before he puts them back. I quite literally saw him take the highchair and put it over by the other high chairs without wiping it down. And your bathroom is disgusting. Two times in a row. The waitress was really nice. *old post-This place is great. The wait staff is really nice. The food is good. But the bathroom was disgusting. It was pretty evident the bathroom hadn’t been cleaned in a...
Read moreMe, my daughter, and two grandkids went to Pepper's in Valley West, it was our first in-dinning experience since things opened up. We couldn't have picked a better choice of a place to go to! The food was excellent, and so was the service! I had the prime rib dinner special for either $18.95, or $19.95 can't quite remember which it was but it was well worth either amount! The steak was cooked to juicy perfection at medium rare, just like I asked it to be. I have had steak at other places for around the same price and was expecting a portion size like I got from them. Boy oh boy was I surprised! The baked potato that came with it was about average size, which was a good thing because the steak took up the rest of the plate! This was a slab of meat folks! And oh so delicious. Can't quite remember what the girls had but from the sounds of rapture they were making they were loving their food too! They better hang on to that cook. Now for the service. Our waitress Kora, was attentive, charming, and gave us that little extra something that makes you feel special. My Granddaughters just loved her! All in all this will be a night that will be very hard to...
Read moreIn these tough times for any business to open is truly amazing, I was so excited about a new restaurant opening in Arcata with delivery through DoorDash. All I can say is that I was so disappointed. I had the $12.99 Breakfast Burrito that tasted like a giant potato burrito with over cooked potatoes and that had turned to mashed. It seemed like their was some chopped up bacon and sausage but because it was basically chopped up so small it really had no taste other than little salty bits. Their idea of how to make a delicious burrito doesn’t work. You have to leave the ingredients big enough to taste and figure out what’s inside to enjoy. It’s going to be hard to get me to ever come back because someone believes this is good and it’s priced at the top of their pricing. My partner had the scrambled eggs and sausage biscuits. The eggs looked like they were cooked on a dirty grill. The sausage gravy looked more like it had the essence of sausage than any actual sausage. The biscuits had the look of.....really? This review might seem harsh but if you are going to go into the food business today you...
