We stopped in for one of the lunch specials, my friend and I both had the fried catfish which comes with handcut fries😍 hushpuppies, three filets, a side of pinto beans and offered and received fresh cut onion and lemons. The tarter sauce was homemade and delightful, complimented the fish perfectly. Our service was good but giving 4 stars because there's always room for improvement, right? As far as atmosphere, the place is clean and I love the "old school" feel of the decor, took me back to my childhood, 4 stars on that is no fault of the restaurant or its employees. There was a 6top there within ear shot and one of the six was talking about another family member, not present, and the things she was saying were not, imo, dinner conversation and certainly not in public 😒. It was intrusive and sad to hear the things she was saying about her family member. This is no reflection on the restaurant as a whole which i gave a 5 star rating! 👏👏👏 to kitchen...

After a long day of swimming at Turner Falls this hit the spot.  If you are driving back to Texas this place is about 15 minutes south from Turner Falls in Ardmore.  This is a great pit stop for some good food and awesome ice tea after a hot day outside.  The service provided was outstanding; she even commented that we could save money by getting a different option on the menu as opposed to each ordering the same thing.  We ordered the Catfish for 4 People.  The catfish was hot, made to order with a nice flakey crust.  The hushpuppies had just a little kick of jalapeno flavor and the beans and coleslaw were on point.  My child ordered the ‘small appetite’ Chicken Fried Steak and it was the size of her plate.
