Two friends suggested we meet at Barnfire for lunch. This would be my first opportunity to eat there. I was the first to arrive at Barnfire. I hadn't seen my friends for a while so I was excited to meet them for lunch. The dining room was warm and inviting with a western theme. We were seated immediately and our server was prompt with menus and drink orders. She actually had to return a couple of times to take our food order because we were so busy catching up. I must say she was most gracious about doing so. After our order was taken, it seemed like no time had passed before she was bringing our food. Both of my friends ordered the smoked pulled pork sandwich with fries. One ordered crinkle cut fries and the other ordered Texas fries. You see, they offer three types of fries there! The other being steak fries. How cool is that? I had a hankering for a burger, so I ordered a big Texas burger with swiss cheese and a half side of beer batter onion rings. The smoked pulled pork sandwiches were so good that I can attest not a single bite was left on the plate of either of my friends. And the fries, the same can be said for them! My friends affirm they were both very good👍. As for my burger, yum! It was tasty, moist, and cooked to perfection! My hankering for a burger was satisfied! How about the beer batter onion rings you ask? OMG! Loved them!💘 They were so tasty, light and crispy! They were worth the extra denero I paid for them. Good rings don't come along often. When you find them, buy them! Thank you Barnfire for a delicious meal delivered in a very timely manner by a server with a great attitude...
Read moreWent to Barnfire this evening to enjoy a meal with my husband and son. We were seated quickly but then sat there for almost 15 minutes before waitress came to ask about drinks and take orders. The menus are not accurate at all- my entree that I ordered said that I was supposed to get 2 sides with my brisket sandwich- waitress said- no, menu was wrong and I only get 1 side. Then since I chose a salad she said that was an additional charge…. Wth?! We waited for about 20 minutes for our salads- and another 20 for our food. My husband chose pasta and that was supposed to have a salad and garlic bread. He never got his garlic bread and when we asked about it, the waitress said that the menu was wrong again. My husband was getting rather aggravated at this point and said that the menu being wrong wasn’t our problem and we wanted what was listed. She started to argue with him and he asked if a manager was in the restaurant… she informed us he was in the other room celebrating a birthday party and wouldn’t want to be disturbed. She walked off - we had to track someone else down and ask for boxes- and then she never came back to even get our payment. I had to go to the two gals up front to get help with our bill and pay. Very very disappointed in the service and the inaccurate info on menus. We won’t likely ever...
Read moreCame for a special occasion with a group of about 20 a couple weeks ago. The backroom we were in felt like an empty shell and was private but oversized for our group. Because we were tucked away, we weren’t receiving timely drink refills and overall attentiveness was lacking. The girl serving us was caught messing around multiple times with coworkers when we needed assistance and the restaurant wasn’t that busy. Additionally, my ribeye came our medium well to well when I order medium rare and the refire that came out was rare plus. The second cut was a better steak, first one was 60% fat. They let me keep the messed up steak and when they brought a new plate it was just the steak. Ive been to multiple streakhouses and worked in one for 4 years to where they bring a whole new plate with the sides when an error is made and a manager becomes involved. At no point did a manager come over to speak with us about anything, not about our experience or even to thank us for chosing their business. It was a very detatched experience and you should be getting your temps right on the steaks of you want to be a steakhouse. Outback and texas roadhouse are a better choice in terms of meat quality and flavor but also in service...
