We arrived on time for our reservation and was promptly seated. The hostess brought us our water and said our server would be right with us. We patiently waited for about 15-20 minutes, and no one came. I watched as others were sat and helped, but we weren't. An older couple, who must've been regulars, then sat down behind us and were immediately served, and I knew I had to bring this to someone's attention. I flagged down the hostess to ask her about it, and she brushed me off and said our waiter would be with us. A different waiter came and said she would help us because the other girl was with a big party, but asked me to hold on while she went back to help the older couple that was sat after us. We order quickly, the food comes out, we had to wait a few minutes more for the soup, no big deal, we were asked if we needed anything else and that was the last time we saw our waiter until I had to flag her down for the check. This was extremely poor customer service, especially compared to how the older couple that came in behind us was being serviced. Several members of the staff were consistently at their table, including managers, and yet no one stopped by our table to even see if we needed anything else. This was my first, and likely my last time visiting this establishment. I can understand regulars coming in and being treated great, but the lack of service to anyone not a regular was completely unexpected and unprofessional. One could say that from the uncaring, dismissive nature of the hostess and her brush off, to the unbelievable lack of service, was because we were 3 African American women, but maybe that is just a coincidence. At no point were we rude, not even when others were serviced before us. The inquires were with a smile and thank yous. The food was good, but I will not return to a place that lacked basic service etiquette. If you are not a regular, expect subpar service, your waiter never checking in on you, and maybe a refill of your water. I'm usually a great tipper, but in this instance, given the failure of everyone involved, understandably, nothing was left. Not the first impression I hoped for, but quite possibly the last impression they'll be able to give me.

I'd like to say the food at chop block and brew is excellent usually the service is great but this time we were there for my mom's 80th birthday we reserved the large room for big parties. When we got ready to order we noticed they had given us a small menu the items we would normally order were not on it when we asked the server for the regular menu they said they didn't provide that to large parties something that should have been told to us when you reserve the room. The server said that they quit providing the large menu August 27th or 28th so we requested the manager she went to talk with the manager he came in and still insisted we would only be able to use the limited menu. So as you can imagine our large party was not happy and so we told him we were going to leave only then did the manager say okay to the regular menu. Having a regular menu is only in their best interest my daughter orders the crab which is $80 a plate so not quite sure why they made that type of a decision. So I just want to warn everybody that maybe doing the same thing doing a special event for someone they love and trying to reserve that room be sure to ask all questions and limitations. Our total bill was over $600 for 12 people.

We visited Chop, Block and Brew for dinner for the first time, and it exceeded our expectations. We started with the Spinach Dip, which was rich and paired beautifully with the warm bread. The Hand Crafted and House Specialty cocktails were delightful and expertly mixed. For my main course, I chose the Atlantic salmon with MaƮtre de butter, garlic mashed potatoes, and sautƩed cremini mushrooms. It was the best salmon I've ever had at a steakhouse, and I've been trying to replicate it at home ever since. My partner enjoyed the Caesar salad topped with grilled chicken breast, which was fresh, crispy, and the chicken was both flavorful and tender. The service was outstanding, and the ambiance was inviting. We will certainly return to explore more of the menu. Thank you!

First time here. Absolutely beautiful restaurant, the ambience was really cool. The filet mignon was hands down one of the best I’ve ever had. It was cooked perfectly! I got it Oscar style (smothered with white crab, asparagus, and hollandaise), personally I got the Hollandaise on the side, so I could enjoy the mild sweetness of the crab! I got French onion soup and sautĆ©ed cremini mushrooms as my sides, and the garlic parm steak fries, Delectable. Our waitress was incredible, though I didn’t catch her name because I am hearing impaired. The chocolate cake I was given a taste of, was rich, fluffy, and incredibly delicious. The cheesecake? I’m Sicilian and picky about my cheesecake. It was heavenly. To the kitchen I say, Bravo chefs, bravo! Meal of perfection.

I would have given 5 stars, but the front house reservation desk was rude and acted like they were being put off. Does the maitre’d need 5-6 people standing around it? They were bumping into each other, shoulder to shoulder, and grumpy. They looked like a kicked hornets nest, and acted similarly. The restaurant was more than half empty and they acted like it was an impossibility to seat a larger party together, and an extreme inconvenience to them. The reservation was made for that very thing. Over 40 minutes after we were seated at two separate tables, a table of 10 was seated at the table we could have been seated at. How was our reservation less important, because we had a couple less people? Once we got seated our waitress and food was amazing, your saving grace, and the only reason I will ever go back. Discussions need to be had and some coaching done about the rudeness and flippant behavior they conveyed. I usually never go back to a restaurant where I’ve been treated so rudely.

I am so surprised that I was treated so poorly by a Harrah’s/Caesar’s palace restaurant. I have eaten at both Casinos in several states. Truly, I haven’t ever run into this type of behavior before. I’m quite literally shocked! Such a let down and so disappointing.

Next time I may just go over to The Stockyards where I get great food and exemplary service from...

We arrived early not knowing we needed a reservation but anticipating a short wait. When I asked the host for a reservation (4:05pm) I was told there would be a 30 minute wait (great!). Around 4:50 I went back to ask the host about how much longer. The host didn’t respond nor did she look my way although I was standing in front of her. I asked a second time, same no response.I stepped back from the counter and stood staring at her...finally I was acknowledged and told we were next. We were seated 10min later. Once seated we waited another 15 minutes for the waitress. Having never eaten here I questioned if the side order for the burger (my sons order) could be shrimp (I do not eat meat). Our waitress gave me an awkward look and stated, ā€œThat would be a sideā€. Huh? That’s what I said. She then says, ā€œI don’t know what you meanā€. Now I’m becoming irritated. First the wait, then ignored and now I’m ignorant? Better customer service is needed. Judging people by their looks, color etc. is unacceptable and unfortunate. The prices are steep but people have no idea who they are serving. If a wolf can be dressed in sheep’s clothing a black sheep can be dressed as a wolf. Shame on Chopblock’ staff for making patrons feel uncomfortable...
