Bubba's Catfish-2-Go — Restaurant in Arkansas

"Disappointing part of our Labor Day Weekend"! Tripadvisor said this was the #1 place in the area for best seafood. --When we ordered the cashier said we have no dill sauce and no tarter sauce. They said they were slammed today. I ordered Broiled shrimp but they were out of it. So we decided to get 10 pieces of catfish with 2 sides. On the 2 sides they were out of coleslaw and other items. We asked the cashier to ask the manager and manager rudely replied he could substitute for corn. We paid our $26 for the meal. --We waited 30 minutes and the cashier apologized for the wait but no apology from the manager. There was only 4 customers in the restaurant at this time. When the food came out our $5 sides were just 2 halves of corn. We tried and the corn and it was stone cold and old. The manager came out and we said these are stone cold please try, He rudely said "I don't like corn"! We complained also $5 for 2 halves of corn. He left the cold corn on our table and he said he will get us some more. He then returned and only brought back 1 piece of half of corn. I complained 3 pieces of corn for $5. I'm not happy with the meal and he said he would go to talk to the kitchen about what he could do. He returned back 10 minutes later and said he could only give us $5 back of the $26 because we ate 9 of 10 pieces of catfish. I told him I want a full refund and he said he has to charge me for the catfish we ate. The catfish was good and we ate it because we had an early lunch and this was a late dinner and we were really hungry. He said sorry no refund. The manager made no effort to work with us and he was very rude at times and even offended us. --It was late at night and we ended up driving and to 2 other restaurants and they were closed. We were so hungry that we had to go to the store and spend another $20 to buy ramen and some snacks and we ate at our hotel. Horrible evening due to your manager at...

Variety of menu selections for any appetite. Friendly. I had the 2 piece catfish 3 shrimp combo with fries &slaw. (They give you an option of regular or jumbo shrimp) evey bite was delicious. Catfish breading was nicely portioned with the meat so not to over power the taste. Fries crispy like fries should be. Hush puppies had good flavor. Lemon wedge, shrimp sauce, tartar sauce and catsup. They have me extra catsup.

TIP for other restaurant people. When they put the food in the to go container they put the coleslaw in first then they put the paper down and put the rest of the food in. So when we got to our picnic the slaw didn't splash on the other food. Which always happens, right. I thought that was a little extra care. I like...

April 2022. Stopped at Bubbas Catfish 2 Go in Hot Springs, AR. We got the 2-piece catfish, extra fries and hush-puppies, sweet iced tea and chocolate fried pies. The fish was delish, loved the fries and hushpuppies too! The fries had that perfect kind of crunch, but not overly crunchy. Not sure if they were seasoned or if it just the oil they are cooked in but the flavor of the fries were yum! The fish was fried to perfection-not undercooked or overcooked. Folks love fried pies around here so I got a couple chocolate ones. The chocolate consistency is like pudding. Although they aren't my favorite my friend loves them!
