Chicken Express — Restaurant in Arlington

I am writing this review to express my disappointment with my recent experience at this store. I ordered chicken, fried okra, and several other items, but unfortunately, everything was significantly overcooked. The food was dry, tough, and not at all up to the standards I’ve come to expect from Chicken Express. It tasted as though it had been sitting under the heat lamp for hours!!

When I returned to the store to address the issue and request a refund, I was treated very poorly. Instead of an apology or understanding, I was met with unprofessional and dismissive behavior from the staff. This made an already frustrating situation even worse. The person who finally gave me the refund shoved the money in my hand, grabbed the bag of food I returned, and heaved it across the store towards the trashcan.

I value good customer service, and this experience has left me questioning whether I should return to this location in the future. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and both the food quality and customer service issues are addressed. Chicken Express is always good quality and quick to be served. This location has a nice attentive staff. I have only used the drive thru at this location and have never had a bad experience or poor quality at this location.

Rhonda is so kind and professional everytime I come here that I know her kind voice and had to ask her name last time. Well everyone I have encountered here has been nothing but kind and accommodating. The food is always hot and fresh. My mom got me started on eating chicken livers from here about 2 weeks ago. I would see her eat them and other people with great skin, and figured that my mom must be doing something right. Her skin is so good lol, but I could never bring myself to try them. But anyhow last time she had them, she offered me one smothered in hot sauce. I was hungry and it was hot/fresh and smelled so good so I figured I could just atleast try it. Well I’m hooked now. You know what they say, don’t judge a book by its cover. Well if you’re not open to chicken livers, I’d recommend the rolls, corn fritters, fried fish or chicken tenders.
