My boyfriend and I went to try a new place out in the neighborhood, after reading the reviews about how "authentic" and great this place is. From the moment we walked in, it was just not a great experience. They tried to sit us at a table that was dirty with rice and food all over the floor under the table. The other table they sat us at wasn't much better, had food under it. Asked for a margarita, they gave me a Paloma in a broken mug. The chips and salsa were alright. The food.... absolutely TERRIBLE. The Refried beans were gray and watery and flavorless. The rice was bland and had frozen veggies in it. My Chile relleno batter was hard and didn't come with any salsa or anything on top of it. Read moreThis place has been the best we tried of all Mexican Restaurants in Arlington. The food is authentic!! Homemade flour and corn tortillas! The food has all the flavor it needs. If you want Tex Mex; this is not the place for you! If you can’t handle spice; then this place is not for you! I ordered Guiso de Puerco and it was soo good! The pork was soft and melts in your mouth. We also got Tablitas Beef Ribs and ol’man; it was mouth watering good! Plenty of meat was given; not sheisty! While everything was my favorite— i must say the Real Agua de Pepino y Limon was out of this world!! Definitely coming back!
Update: Since my first post, we have came 4 times and every time, this place gets better and better!!!! We have now tried various plates: Chilaquiles, Huevos Rancheros, Pozole, y Menudo. Everything been really good! Las Aguas...
Read moreI’ve dined in here before very over priced except for the Gorditas, which in this occasion I got beans and cheese Gorditas to go, two for me and two for my brother, on my second one I saw an onion took it out and thought it was a piece that went by unnoticed. After that one another one that brought a very nasty taste to my mouth, that I still taste now. I opened my gordita and there were a couple more onions and a piece of cilantro. I’m not allergic but just disgusted because if another customer orders is like mine and their allergic to either things ordering a BEAN AND CHEESE gordita they’re in a lot of trouble. It’s looking like they didn’t clean whatever utensil, or change gloves when they put in the beans in the gordita, I didn’t want to be a Karen but I was so hungry just to have a nasty taste...
