OMG! Where do I start? I was not a fan of gyros. One day the hubby "surprised me" with food from this place. And I was surprised at how good it was. (I am a picky eater too!). The meat is fresh, with savory spices - not hot, but flavorful. There is a generous portion in the gyro, and the pita bread melts in your mouth like butter. I can only finish 1/2 of one. I get extra sauce because its always fresh. My hubby gets the lamb chops. DEE-lish! good cuts of meat, and they make it when you order it. Grilled to perfection. The hummus is awesome. I didn't think I would like it, but it is prepared fresh and garnished with a touch spices. The rice is steamed and so light and fluffy. I think its Jasmine rice. We also get the salad. It's just enough. The vegetables and garnish are fresh also. And the dressing is different - a good different. Kind of like a vinaigrette, very tasty. Faisal & Athraa provide awesome service. We order from there at least once a week, and they already know my hubby and our order. Great people! Great place -small, quiet and very clean and orderly. Never disappointed with our order. If you are in the mood to try something different, you got to try this place...
Read moreThe gyro plate meal I ordered today had a hair in the food. Which is a health violation. Sammy (Sanad) ultimately told me they do not care. I called at roughly 17:43 about the hair being in the food. The order was picked up at 12:35 pm. I had to drive 1 hour home (after running other errands), upon calling Gyros to Go in Arlington I was told they could not do anything about the hair in the food. The hair is straight so it is not mine as I have natural hair which is very curly. On top of that when I asked what the managers name was Sammy (if that is his real name; on the receipt it states Sanad) stated he did not know the managers name. He essentially told me because I did not eat the food that was purchased for my family at the restaurant there was nothing he could do. Then he insisted that WHEN I come back to order more food he could offer me a baklava. He had the gall to believe I would come back and order again. No, I can tell you a place like this with such frivolous policies should not be visited by you neither as they do not care about people but rather the money they make/take from you. I will report this to the...
Read moreWe were near by so we decided to try it out since it was rated well! We ordered the Gyro plate, but we wanted to try everything so we ordered half chicken half beef shawarma on top of a small Hummas plate, and 6 pieces of falafel. The beef shawarma was dry a bit however it was done the legit way of the rotating slow cooked but dry, and didn't have much flavor, the chicken was a bit more juicer and had a good load ofv garlic. The Hummas was ok, the added that green lemony oily stuff under the meat and it didn't mix well! Any sauce other that the one that comes with a plate is .75cents which I thought it was ridiculous since none of the other places charge you for any. The Flafel were made fresh, it was brown from the inside not green like other places! But it was good! The pits bread was not fresh, it was dry, it was from the store and they didnt it even warm it up! There is no soda fountain not even and ice cup. All on all the food was ok, however they had an Islamic prayer hanged there and was offensive! Not sure I'll be back there again, but good...
