I took my family to Lac Bleu yesterday morning (Sunday 6/1/25) and it was minimally busy probably because most folks were in church. Nevertheless, my wife, 2 kids (20yr old & 17yr old) were seated within 10 minutes of arrival. While we were being seated by a host, he failed to grab (4) menus and (4) sets of silverware, he only grabbed (3) sets of everything. When he realized he was short (1) set of silverware and (1) menu, he mumbled something under his breath like, "Nobody told me there was (4) of you." Which was odd in of itself because, why does it matter that you have to go back to the hostess stand to grab another set of silverware and a menu anyway.? So, when he returned with another menu I said, "Hey man, we need another set of silverware too" because he forgot to get the silverware when he went back to the hostess stand to get the menu/silverware. This is where it gets interesting. After I asked for more silverware, he gave me a really ugly look and went to go get the extra silverware. When he returned with the silverware he mumbled something under his breath again. This time I asked him what he said and he repeated himself and because of the noise in the restaurant I still couldn't quite hear him clearly so again, I asked him what he said. This time he leaned into our table hunching over my daughter and my wife and told me, “I need to ask him in a nicer way to go get my silverware.” I was so dumbfounded with the comment, I immediately asked to speak with his boss and he proceeded to just walk away from our table. I then decided to abruptly leave the restaurant with him standing at the door eyeballing me and my family as we exited. I went ahead and told my family to go to the truck and I was going to talk to the Manager on duty. After my family exited the building, I turned to the same young Hispanic man and said, "I want to talk to your boss." He then replied, "I'll go get her." After waiting probably close to 4-to-5 minutes he returned to tell me, “I can wait but she (the Manager??) most likely won't come out to talk to me.” So, at this point I figured what's the point in trying to talk to Management if I can't take up an issue with the Service being provided to us (repeated customers.?) Needless to say, we will never return to Lac Bleu due to its inability to address customers cares and concerns. I guess in today's time, a business Owner would rather lose revenue/profit and spend money on poor employees who clearly don’t understand the meaning of performing a job in the service industry. Not a very attractive business model if you ask me.
Thanks employee “Edward” for horrible service/attitude. If that was your intent,...
Read moreI ordered the salmon Benedict and while the salmon and bread tasted alright the capers were sour and tasted like they had been left out and the hollandaise sauce tasted super processed. My side dish was grits so I asked for real butter from the kitchen since they only bring margarine to the table and was informed the restaurant doesn't cook with or use butter but they had some soybean blend they could bring out which was just the same crappy margarine I assume and it was not good. I understand that you want to save money by putting margarine on the table however to not even have butter in the kitchen shows a real lack of quality and in my opinion it explains why the hollandaise sauce didn't taste right. In my opinion why not just eat at waffle House or something cheaper if the quality of ingredients is similar. If it's such a big exprnse then raise the price another $.50 or $1 to make up for it because the food quality suffered. Originally it was not my intent to leave a review but when I paid for my check in cash the server brought me the dollars only and not the coins. When I asked why she didn't bring me the other 49 cents she said they don't use coins and round up. Look I don't care who you are. Yes it's only pocket change but what gives you the right to assume people don't want their coins and steal it from them. I would have just left it as a part of the tip but there was no sign no warning from the server that my change would be eaten. This is extremely unethical and possibly illegal. If you don't want to give people their change you need to tell people this when they pay cash and have a darn sign or just go cashless if you're so concerned about not having coins. You don't have the right to take people's money without notice or anything in return. Management really needs to take this seriously and take action. (Update I am increasing the star rating from 1 to 2 star because the restaurant replied to my review and genuinely seems to care about my feedback. I will give them another try in the future and update my review further if it reflects the proper changes. thanks to the restaurant...
Read moreI got here to have a cute brunch with my bff they lied and said I had a 50 minute wait I said 15? and the lady said no 5..0 separate for me to hear her, so it was no problem I left to do some shopping exactly 15 minutes later I got a text saying my table was ready so she lied thinking I would change my mind being told I had so long to wait first red flag..we get seated and a red head is our waitress she came with water then took our drink order as she placed the waters on the table and then we put in our food order and begin to talk and catch up, a hour pass by and we still haven’t got our food a group of four came in about 30-45 minutes after us so when they brought out there food we thought it was ours I tried to be patient and polite but when I seen them eating before us I got pissed cause at this point we were there for an hour with no food we made them aware the manager checked the kitchen and began arguing and making faces and hand gestures as we sat there to see what is taking so long for steak bowls it just blew me that the table that came in after us got the same thing and got there food before us so we left. I’m huge on customer service that ultimately determines your tip amount I observe as soon as I walk in after we made them aware of how long we had been waiting they didn’t apologize, accommodate or hold themselves accountable bad business and I do believe race came into play because the people that came in after us and ate before us were...
