Snowflake Factory — Restaurant in Arlington

Just not like it used to be. Showed up at 9pm because they have posted online that they close at 930pm. I pulled up to window and the 2 girls inside ignored me. After several minutes I drove off. I waved and even a gesture or mouthing we're closed would have been nice. The service before this visit has been poor also. I think it's just the young ppl they have working. Snow cones have always been good though. Been coming here since I was a kid. Thankfully a great place in Pantego opened up. Larger sizes for the money. Friendly employees. Annie's Freeze is the one in Pantego. Great outside seating area, fun lighting and decor, better service and product. 5 minute drive from Snowflake Factory. And Annie's is open til 10pm...

If you went here and the flavor wasn't there or there was bad customer service then you caught a new person or a worker on a bad day. I go here a lot during the summer and spring and I have tried tons of their flavors but my favorite by far is banana with cream. It is the BEST tasting like laffy taffy and banana pudding. The have green apple, pina colada and much more. Putting two flavors in one cone will cost you extra because it counts as extra flavoring with saying will charge to extra. The chocolate is my least favorite, it doesn't taste like chocolate for the kids but tastes the a adult chocolatey beverage. Even with a decently long line, the wait wasn’t bad. The texture of the ice was really good and they put plenty of syrup/flavor that you choose on your come. There’s only 2 negative thing I can say about this place. The portions were a little smaller than other places I’ve been to. There is an XL option that I didn’t try. But just comparing medium to other mediums that I’ve had it seemed a bit small. So I would just say choose a size up maybe. The other being it’s cash only, it being 2023 it’s just a bit of an inconvenience although I understand it probably benefits the business slightly by doing business this way. Overall really great experience. Probably my favorite shaved ice location on this side of town....
