Five Guys — Restaurant in Arroyo Grande

WOW! I was looking for a really good burger. You know the kind - when you bite into it and then Thank the the Almighty Universe that the beef was born - I found it at 5 Guys!!! Seriously - I wanted a BURGER that tasted like a Burger - not compacted meat pressed into a patty shape with veggies you either can’t find or they take over the burger. I get the Little Bacon Cheese Burger because it only has one patty and it is still a big burger and bacon because - well everything is better with bacon. Shoot - as I write this I am getting hungry - I’m going to go get a Burger at 5 Guys so I can add pictures and ahh Bonus I get a 5 Guys Burger!! Win for you, WIN for me. Not to bag on the competition - but why on Earth would you wait in a sometimes very long line at the drive through of the other fast food chains for an Ok burger when you could have perfection at 5 Guys. And at my local one the staff is always so helpful and friendly. Thank you much to the staff. Now stop reading this and go get yourself and those you want to feed a burger worth eating. Fives Guys is what i call a legit american hamburger. They are big, greasy, and all about making it your way.

From a taste perspective, 5 guys is far tastier than any other fast food place, this includes In-n-out. I know In-n-out is a California staple but I discovered something interesting about these two in the quality in taste. Since I can't eat cheese, I get these hamburgers without cheese (gross right?) and there is a huge difference in taste. Without the cheese, I can really taste the difference is seasoning and 5 Guys is far superior.

The service at this location is great and my last visit there the guys told me that they fries got a bit over cooked and made me a new batch. Absolutely horrendous experience, dealt with probably the snottiest boy ive met in my life! Im 67 year old woman for christ sake and i just came in looking to eat a delish hamburger and this young man, I believe I over heard someone calling him "joe" while they were on grill. This young man refused to be polite, the food took about 40 minutes to be prepped only for the fries to be soggy, hardly salted, and dont even get me started on the hamburger. It was like the tomato had been left out on the stove for atleast 10 hours. Not to mention the fact that they had completely forgotten my drink cup and refused to give me one, stating that I had already received a cup.
