Panda Express — Restaurant in Arroyo Grande

The Only Positive was the friendly staff. This was my first visit to Panda Express. I took photos of the vial and rubbery grissle. I did not post those but I have them just in case anybody should want to question my genuine statements here. The rice was clotted into a fist size globule. Initially I cut the globule into smaller easier to chew on chunks. I tried this plan but almost immediately my jaw grew weary of gnawing on my food like a starving critter! The same goes for the multiple paddle ball size disgusting chunks of beef grissle that were impossible to gnaw into pieces small enough to swallow. I am nearly 60 yrs old. This was by far the most lousy food experience I've ever had to deal with! I felt like I was witness and reuse to a candid camera episode gone very wrong. I didn't even come close to finishing my meal. I was both sickened and disgusted by my first Panda Express Experience! Heck, part of my order was a 2 chicken eggroll appetiser. There was only 1 eggroll in the bag... It was after 9:00 pm I was hungry and becoming weary. I ordered "To Go" for my girlfriend and myself. Over $25 poured down the drain and into the sewer... Honestly it was the worst service panda has ever provided. I ordered my order online and paided for it in full online also to have my process faster when getting there. I get there and they dont have my order ready when it was suppose to be ready at 7:57pm. I'm waiting in line and watching everybody get there orders, even the people that had just got there and barely ordered there food there. I was very unsatisfied and angry because this is suppose to be a organized method and its absolutely NOT. Mind you I was there for a hour waiting for my order and once I reach to the front of the line and I was next they as me for my name and she didnt even have my order ready. Kept calling everybody else behind me names. Than they ask me for my confirmation number because they cant find it and the lady said they had no control on the online order which I find absurd than why have the online process offered. I finally get my order a 1hour and 45 minutes later and let them know that I should have got a refund or a discount for their unorganized method. Panda staff what is going on with the food? My son loves the chow mein and fried rice most of the time when it has flavor and it's fresh. We got and order each of both items and to say the least it was so dry and flavorless that we just ended up tossing it away because honestly it had no moisture or flavor. And to think I paid $20+ for a complete disappointment. @pandaexpress it's never consistent with the staff providing the food, one day you go everything is fresh and delicious, other times it taste like cardboard and dry. Next time I will not be ordering online just to go in and make sure the food is fresh and also the process of getting people in and out quickly is very sad. I get it that things sale out fast but honestly be prepared for your rush times and I'm sure you guys no when that is, mostly during lunch and dinner time.
