A small family run pastry shop. The owners are from Iran and the main baker isn't fluent with English. His kids man the store front and handle customers.

The shop is like many other Persian bakeries in the DMV region. They have Persian cookies and their sweets (the jalebi like sweet and other similarly sugar syrup soaked things), dried fruits and nuts etc. but their swiss rolls, pastries, and cakes take the... cake!

When I first came to America nearly 25 years ago I loved seeing all the sweets in the bakery section of grocery stores. They all looked so delicious! But none were good - too sweet, too much essence, too dry, too dense - just never right. I stopped eating cakes and pastries mostly. The occasional birthday or wedding cake, usually covered in fondant - general didn't fail to disappoint.

Then, we had visitors from out of the country for New Year's. Not sure how they heard of the Four Season but they got us a big box of assorted pastries and cookies. We couldn't believe our taste buds!

I recently ordered a cake for a birthday celebration. It was their vanilla cake with strawberry decoration. It was phenomenal! Everyone loved the cake! Also got to try out another strawberry topped pastry (this one had some pink in the fresh cream icing) - that's going to be next cake we order. We considered ordering a fondant cake - but we're advised that we should finish it s couple of days or the fondant dries out.

The kids that man the front are friendly and courteous. They have fresh hot tea on the house. Also some samples for tasting. I got to talk to their dad - the head baker - as well. All of them are welcoming and friendly and gracious. I told them how lucky we were to have them and their amazing bakery so close to us. I mention their friendliness because some reviews said that they aren't friendly. My experience couldn't have been any better. If you focus on the language barrier and don't attempt to overcome it - then that's on you. I don't speak Farsi, but had no trouble with communication. Overcome the language barrier and make sure you enjoy the cakes and pastries that this establishment has to offer. It's...

This place is an absolute gem. I found it by accident, when searching online for nearby Persian bakery/pastry shop, as I wanted to surprise one of our neighbors before Nowruz. This place has wonderful pastries, fresh nuts(so fresh, they are kept in the refrigerators!), fresh pomegranate seeds, specialty flat breads and beautiful cakes! I should have taken a few pics but the place was extremely busy:) Things I loved: while the baked goods are on sweet (not savory) side, none of them were that overly sweet taste that are sold pretty much everywhere. I don't mean on a bad way, just saying that, as someone from Europe, I am not able to handle the local sweetness levels😄 I also loved how attentive and patient the store assistant ladies were, not only explaining but visibly taking pride about the goods they sell. We will be visiting again, there are so much to still explore!

Don't miss out trying their fresh (Swiss?) roulade; I made a mistake of...

I recently had the pleasure of trying a Persian pastry for the first time, and I must say, it was absolutely delicious. The pastry was called "4 season" and it had a unique, flaky texture that was simply delightful.

The pastry was filled with a rich mixture of almond and cardamom, which provided a wonderful depth of flavor. The sweetness was perfectly balanced, and I loved the subtle hint of rosewater that added a touch of sophistication to the overall taste.

What really impressed me about this pastry was the attention to detail in its presentation. The pastry was beautifully shaped and adorned with delicate pistachios, which not only added a lovely visual touch but also complemented the flavors perfectly.

Overall, I would highly recommend trying this pastry. It was a truly delightful experience that left me eager to try more Persian pastries. خانواده سیدین متشکریم از حضور شما در جامعه ایرانی ویرجینیا...

The Four Season Pastry was recommended to us by our local friends in Virginia ( they get their traditional pastries from them and the Four Season Pastry had done the catering for their daughter’s wedding). We were visiting from NC and drove 45 minutes from our hotel to the bakery. We purchased a lot of pastries to also take as gift to friends and family. EVERY ONE loved the sweets. The place is highly recommended. The staff/ owners are also very friendly and nice. Only suggestion I wish they also had some small cakes with the traditional rose water and Cardemon cream flavor ( I know this is an acquired taste and not everyone likes it but it’s very common in Middle East). We will for sure be back in our future visits to the DC/VA area.

If you’re looking for the best Persian pastries in Northern Virginia, this family-owned bakery is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with the warmest hospitality, making you feel like part of the family. Northern Virginia is lucky to have a true Persian pastry destination like this. Whether you’re picking up sweets for a special occasion or just treating yourself, you won’t be disappointed. Highly recommend to anyone who loves authentic, fresh, and delicious Persian desserts! A couple of days ago, I bought a selection of sweets for my office, and all my colleagues absolutely loved them! Everyone was impressed by the freshness and unique flavors, and many asked where they could get more.
