Stopped there after the dentist for Moink Balls for the Super Bowl and 2 orders of the Mushroom Mac & Cheese smothered in brisket. Those two orders were 4 full meals. Opening in 2020, they are the newest BBQ kid on the block. I have done extensive research on all of the top AVL BBQ joints. Please refer to my other reviews. In the short time they've been around they have risen to the number 2 position for Q in the area. Original location is on Coxe Ave. Their creative Favorites are a mix of Q and sides all in one carton. Delicious! The Sweeten Creek location is in the Sweeten Creek Brewery, so if you like beer & Q it is very handy. The South Slope location is also surrounded by breweries. Their ribs and barbecue are fall- off-the-bone tender, almost as good as Moe's! Service is always friendly. It was nice to go in the Winter when there was no line. This is a must-go food stop if you are visiting AVL! I like that they are also environmentally friendly, using cardboard boxes instead of styro. Way to go folks!!! Keep doing it right! If u r downtown, the S. Slope location is central to...
Read moreSo for starters I was visiting from out of town so it was kind of confusing to find/know it was located within the brewery. Got crowded quickly when trying to order food. That being said I would do it again. The service was good, quick and the food was delicious. The only thing I would pass on the next time would be the Mac and cheese. It was dry and really didn't have any flavor or cheese for that matter. The brisket, ribs and pulled pork đđŒđđŒother sides we ordered were baked beans and cooe slaw. They were good too. The baked potato (super spud)though it was good was definitely not worth $15. The menu says $13 but we got charged more and not because we got brisket, we got the pulled pork. Also, didn't think $5 was fair for 2 small pieces of cornbread but guess that is a sign of the times. Don't want to forget to mention the variety of sauces, which were also very tasty. Overall I definitely recommend this place. Burnt ends...
Read moreI wanted to like this place because of the reviews, but our meals were completely underwhelming. My husband and I ordered the 2 meat combos (both with brisket which is a $2 up charge each). The brisket was DRYYY!!! Iâm used to Texas bbq that literally falls apart. Iâve never had such dry brisket. And it was cold! We had a pickup order but we only live a couple minutes away. By the time we got home, all of our meat was cold and honestly tasted like leftovers from the previous day. We also got the cornbread (which I was really excited about) but it literally smelled like dogâs breath. Not sure if it was due to the paper it was wrapped in or what, but it was unpleasant.. Oh and we ordered a side of Mac and cheese but didnât get it. Safe to say, we wonât be coming back. But if anyoneâs ever in the Houston area, DEFINITELY try Pit Room BBQ on Richmond Ave!! Youâll be so...
