My first time experience ever at a Sonic Drive Thru.. And it was horrible and do not know if I will go back after tonight either. I pulled up to where u park and look at the menu. Picked out what my husband and I wanted and called 2 order. When order taker came on I had 2 tell him about 4 different times what i wanted. Told him each time plain as day. I even told him by the number of the combo. Which was all beef and really specified no cheese. I get all the way home about 20 minutes away. I immediately called back 2 the store asked for a manager and a lady named Haley said she was in charge. So I explained to her what happened. She asked me to wait on the phone while she go talk to both of the employees. Now that took about another 20 minutes . Haley finally come back to phone and say maam are u still there I told her yes. She gonna say to me that she went and talked to her employees and they both said no they DIDN'T put cheese on the hotdogs. I immediately stopped her and said to her that I wasn't going to come back that far out BUT since they want to call me a liar about it I will be back up there in bout 15 min. She said i didnt call u a liar. I told her that I didnt say she did but they called me that. And I informed her that I am a certified restaurant manager with all my papers and credentials of 13 years if being one. And this is unacceptable. I'm really upset bc my husband is blind, was not feeling well already. And I had to go back up there and left him to eat his food alone. I arrive there and drove right to the window with my receipt and showed her on the receipt that order taker took the order right. Now what do u c on the hotdog?? It was so sloppy with all that ketchup and mustard on top of cheese and onion I wasn't gonna eat that anyway like that. Haley said yes it is cheese in it. I'm sorry I will fix it. She come back to window, I peaked at hotdog again. It was still so sloppy with all that mustard and ketchup again. I sent it back again. The last time she finally got it right. I told her fir future reference a customer is always right( which I understand that sometimes that could be difficult) and I told her that she wanted to much time instead of correcting it without confronting employee. And also last but not least, you have a employee in charge that seem to not be really concerned and more telling me basically that bc employees say they didnt fix my food wrong in which they did. The order taker dont give you enough time or verify if your order is correct on the screen. And only to rush to tell me a total.we paid 15 dollars for these 3 hotdogs and fries with drinks. And last but not least, the manager has a BULL NOSE EARRING IN HER NOSE serving customers in this wrong type of manner. No one had on nametags so you cant identify who is what. And the other drive through cashier was making desserts while she on the cell phone holding a private conversation and not attentive. Now perhaps that phone had of fell in someone food.. all those germs on the phone could of made some one sick. Both of these situations are food violations in serving food in a Restuarant. It supposed to be no one on cell phones and no face piecing. Which make me want to ask is any one in there certified to even run your Restuarant?? To whoever owns this Sonic, I pray that none of your other customers had to deal with a hot mess like I did tonight. This is so not good. And I dont plan on stopping at this Sonic again. I'm writing this review bc I'm old school and I care about how customers and myself are served. We pay your workers salary and they should want to do bc right bc it is right. I hope other customers are lik ed me and speak up when things go wrong. And it's not about things going wrong bc they will a TV times. But its how u handle the SITUATION. Thank you,...
Read moreNot all Sonics are the same, the one back home in Easley SC and Saint Petersburg FL and Tampa FL it’s as though they don’t change their oil and their staff doesn’t care to prepare premium good quality and it leaves a guest thinking Sonic just has bad food when they don’t.
This Sonic location served a fresh double cheeseburger as good as five guys I stopped for tater tots and enjoyed both, the tots were fresh and tasted of fresh oil versus old and the meat was cooked fresh and tender, it is truly the quality Sonic portrayed for their franchises yet this one lives up to the standards of excellence.
I am in town working weekly and will enjoy again! Thank you to all your staff for caring to share delicious foods prepared with perfection of excellence in mind.
Five stars!!!!!
Update 9/1
The staff here seems to have been over turned they are young eager to get you in and out whether your order is correct or not and the food quality has gone down. Meat dry over cooked, tots over cooked. Attitude has changed there I’ve lowered from...
Read moreWe went through the drive thru Saturday 3/29 and ordered 2 route 44s. One diet cherry limeade and One regular limeade. A young girl brought them out neither lid showed which was diet. My wife asked to have them remade because she is diabetic. The girl came back within just second and one was pushed down for the diet. She said they knew which was the diet. My wife asked how and the girl said there was one without a lime. We had to run to Food Lion behind them so I checked the drinks, both had limes. When my wife returned to the car I had her take us back to Sonic. I took both drinks in the front door and asked for a manager. I explained what happened. She tried to make me keep both drinks and would just redo the diet. I explained no because diet gives me headaches with the fake sugar. She angrily dumped them and remade them both. Next time just own the mistake and make it better, don't lie to your customers. My wife could have gotten really sick and ended up in the hospital and I could have gotten sick. This could have...
