I am always shocked when a good business that is doing well, becomes angry at their good customers due to their own deficiencies and actions. As Whisk business has grown, they have become more chatty with drive through customers and there seems to always be delays. Today, my neurologically disabled wife had an order to pick up, and had to wait for a very long time to get to the window. Evidently they had a register payment issue. That wasn't my wife's fault, and my wife let them know she was not happy, and as a result would probably be late for her doctors appointment. I got an email from Meg saying she was "extremely rude", which if anyone knows my wife--she is honest but never rude. Meg said she would no longer fill our orders as a result of being fussed at for good reason. So be it. Sheer arrogance. Another time, she gave us a wrong loaf, and her ego wouldn't let her admit she'd made a mistake. Meg has issues.
And once again, words mean nothing to some people. Meg discriminated against a disabled person by refusing service, and didn't even apologize after being called out on this poor treatment of a customer. . No apologies for the chatty delays either, just run your good and faithful...
Read moreI ordered a special request: gluten free, strawberry cake for our three year oldâs family bday party. Many fam members are gluten free and honestly, I didnât have high expectations for something super delicious bc Iâm a huge fan of whatever gluten brings to cakes apparently? Also, as per my 3 yr olds request, I was expecting something âstrawberryâ to be mixed batter- like with some standard Red 40 dye and probably dryđ€Ș To my utter surprise however, the cake was đ„THE BEST CAKE weâve ever had!! It was a huge hit, super moist, gluten free, yet delicious, and had REAL AF strawberries in it and to top it offâ was sooooo beautifully decorated, our lil babeâs eyes LIT UP đ like weâve never seen, as did ours! đâïžđA million thanks for something so amazingly delish and special. đŻ in awe! It came with a price tag weâd gladly pay again bc itâs huge slices fed 12 people and we still lived off bomb cake for a week+ after. A win win. We grab coffee/chai on the regular there and scones too, now that we moved just down the road. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! A lil tricky to see signage out front, but the building is painted green and purple! Small, family owned, worthy of...
Read moreMeg was a fantastic baker for our wedding cake!
First and most importantly, the cake was absolutely delicious! From the moment we took our first bite of our tasting we were sold. The hardest part was narrowing down our flavors because they were all so tasty. We wound up with pumpkin spice cake with cinnamon cream cheese, and dark chocolate cake with peanut butter filling. Meg was also able to provide some gluten free cupcakes for our guests with dietary restrictions.
Above and beyond that, it was an absolute pleasure to work with Meg. She always responded quickly and enthusiastically to our questions and inquiries, making the process so easy. We were planning the wedding from a few hours away as we live in Charlotte, and so it was important to have vendors we absolutely trust. After our cake tasting we knew Meg would be able to deliver a cake that tasted amazing and looked beautiful. We're looking forward to enjoying her treats more as we visit Asheville...
