It's very cute. They did a wonderful job decorating. It'll be a fun private event space and it's a good place to wait for your name to be called at Sunny Point.
The reason for the four is I didn't find my visit remarkable enough to warrant dealing with parking and cramped quarters again.
I ordered a savory pinwheel with sausage and mustard and it was just kinda fine, surprisingly meh, and I only ate half. The chai latte was nice. The chocolate chip cookies looked stodgy. The space for the line to the register is small and shares space with their adorably branded merch, there's two entrances right at the front so folks entering have to do mental gymnastics to find the end of the line, and there's no clear waiting area, so you're just kind of in the way until your order is ready.
Fortunately the patio/event space just outside the building is large and will be awesome in summer. It's a bit annoying that the door to the patio opens in and has a handle, which is inconvenient if you're carrying more than a cup of coffee.
It wasn't clear if you're supposed to bus your own area, and there weren't bins on the counters or near the garbage cans, so previous customers just started piling empty cups on the counter.
Again, great if you're waiting for Sunny Point, especially if it's raining, not worth the trek for me as the destination. Especially with OWL just...
Read moreI usually love to grab a bite to eat and a coffee from the Rabbit hole before work, except today I experienced rude service from the man who took my order and made my coffee. I pointed at a muffin and asked what kind it was and instead of getting an answer he rudely said "don't touch, don't touch" and "how would you feel if someone put hands all over your food?". After my order was placed, two elderly people behind me grabbed two muffins from the display and he made a face of disgust at them, moved the display and told them "I JUST told the girl in front of you not to do that". I felt embarrassed being there, uncomfortable from the service I received and will not return unfortunately, even though I love the coffee and the pastries. I suggest this Cafe to put a case over every display if they want to prevent confusion. I don't know if that guy was having a bad day or what, but he shouldn't be so rude to people at the...
Read moreIf you've got a sweet tooth and want high quality goodies, come here! Portions are large, not "just make it big" but great quality ingredients and execution. My favorite is I think called blueberry cream cheese coffee cake - it's cake-like on the bottom half and almost but not quite cheesecake on the top. Also pictured here is the carrot pineapple muffin, which is moist with a whole lotta frosting on top. I've had the cinnamon roll before, it's huge and doughy and moist and not too sweet, very more-ish. For takeout they have strong paper cake boxes in a variety of sizes to protect your goodies while you...
