We tried pizza from here once when they first opened, so I wanted to give it a go again. The parking situation is ok. There's street parking & a small lot near it. The atmosphere inside the building is actually quite unique with a very cool vibe. Staff seemed friendly enough. I'd asked for a togo menu & was told they didn't have any unfortunately.
The pizza itself was ok. The sauce slightly tasted of tin can to me. The crust I "think" had a garlic butter sauce brushed on it, but I could be wrong. It was also pretty thin and some pieces fell apart under the weight of the sauce. There was a lot of sauce on the pizza, which was ok, I just wish the crust could have supported it.
I saw pictures of their menu online. Unfortunately, the pricing isn't accurate as of May 2025. According to the menu pics, a large 1 topping should be $14, however I paid closer to $19.
Overall, would I get another pizza from here? A large 1 topping for almost $20 that wasn't even close to perfection imho, makes their food overpriced to me. Especially when there's many other options in the area. Eh, maybe we'd order again, but it would probably be a few years before we do. The pizza looked better...
Read moreAfter 3 visits to Ohio Fire I now feel prepared to offer the following review. The $5 side salads are over priced for the amount of salad you get. The $8 wedge salad is literally half a head of iceberg, every other wedge salad I have even had was maybe a sixth to a quarter of a head. Take some of that lettuce and make your $5 salads worth the price. The pizza has always been good, the alfredo pesto chorizo specialty pizza is my favorite. The Tomato, Ricotta, and Basil pizza needed to have some parmesan, salt, and parsley added to the ricotta to make it more than a bland glob of cheese. The Basil leaves were the small leaves that first appear on the plant, these leaves don't have the strong Basil flavor you get from larger mature leaves. The Buffalo Chicken sub was decidedly not Buffalo at all. It was like they held a bottle of Franks Red Hot near it but never put any on the sandwich. With a total bill of $53 for two people after tip I expect bolder flavors. You can eat at South Street Grill or UBC for less, and if you want pizza most of the pizza chains in town offer products that might not be cooked in the same way but taste just as good and at...
Read moreI learned recently that Ohio Fire allows dogs on their patio, so I brought my dog here for brunch yesterday, and I’m so glad I did. It’s hard to find dog-friendly businesses and I was so impressed with how accommodating the staff were with our 11 month old pitbull. Because bully breeds get a bad reputation and because it’s the responsible thing to do, Reese has been through quite a bit of training (another shout out to Ashland Doggy Daycare). She is also very affectionate, so that likely helped, but the staff were so friendly and accommodating. After first checking inside, that they allowed dogs on the patio, and letting them know we would seat ourselves out there, the bartender greeted us right away with a bowl of water, menus, and kindness. It wasn’t very busy, but the other server attending other customers on the patio was also very friendly and allowed our Reese Cup to say hi and gave her lots of pets and compliments. I appreciate this type of hospitality so much and kudos to the owners for...
