A friend of mine and I ventured over to Buvez in search of an improv show and the show and drinks delivered more than I could ask for. I ordered the expresso martini and it was delicious. The expresso in the drink was tasty and carefully roasted and curated! This was some of the best “coffee” I’ve had in Athens. My friend ordered the hibiscus margarita and spoke highly of it. I also loved the sweet, personalized feel of the service here! I’ll definitely be back to get work done and see/do more improv! I’m very impressed and loved that I was able to get a “townie” experience.

The drinks (of which I’ve tried several) always fill me with warmth (I tend to the hot beverages) and are the right balance of flavorful without being too sweet. And today, I ordered a Chicado on Ciabatta. Oh my word. By far one of the best sandwich’s I’ve ever had. So filling, so flavorful. And of course, the staff are lovely, helpful, and ever patient. By far one of my fav coffee shops in all of Athens 💛

Wow, I was extremely disappointed in the quality of this coffee shop. It has a cute vibe and good reviews so I had high hopes. But when I received my matcha latte and avocado toast, I was in shock. Selling avocado toast that looks like this? Just a piece of white bread with a little bit of avocado haphazardly added on. No toppings, no seasoning. Then, in my matcha latte, there was no matcha to be found, just a cup of iced milk. I’m not one to write reviews normally but wow was I so upset that I had just spent $17 here.

Starting this off with I LOVE the strumpet sandwich specifically and the muffletta. I walked in today hoping to order one only to be told they are changing the menu again and don’t sell them anymore. What I don’t understand about buvez is they KEEP removing the best menu items. If you’ve been coming here for a minute you remember the baguette with prosciutto and fig jam. They took that away from me too but all good, I settled for the strumpet. Now that is being RIPPED away from me as well. Those sandwiches w prosciutto and fig jam were the main pretty much only reason I came here. Stop removing the best menu items yall fr. Now I’m sad, strumpetless, and have to write this review all while having nothing to pair my chai latte with.

Please hear my cry for help and bring back the baguette or at least...

Run, enjoy this Athens gem ASAP! I had coffee several times at Buvez, always good. I saw that Chef Mimi from Home Made was helping develop their menu, I knew I wanted to go for lunch. My daughter and I loved every. single. bite!! The food is wonderfully, creatively created. The flavors, only Chef Mimi could create and execute so masterfully! The pizza bagel, prosciutto toast, Tahini salad, coffees and cupcake were marvelous! The vibe in this place, inside and outside, free spirited and unassuming. Every person from Barrista to chef interacted with us. So welcoming, not weird. Finally, if there’s anything I would encourage Buvez to do is limit the plastic ware. Although most items seemed compostable, real silverware would make a difference in the experience and also for the environment. Can’t wait...

Buvez has been consistently excellent the 2 years I've been attending shows and getting coffees.

Adam and co. Have great playlists and everyone is really nice. Katrina has expanded the menu and improved their social media presence.

The PA and sound system is impressive. I've seen singer songwriters like Kemper and metal loving punks like Pervert at Buvez and both have sounded great. I think that might be in large part to Adam Lopez doing sound.

Gorgeous George's Improv League and BadAthBabes have had shows at Buvez. The acoustics for performers without microphones is excellent. And it's cool that Buvez puts on all these...
