Nighthawks Lounge — Restaurant in Athens-Clarke County Unified Government

A unique cocktail lounge experience, a surprise favorite for me. Not cheap should you want to stay around for a few hours, but so massively wonderfully worth it for a splurgy date, genius drinks, and great conversation... Each individual cocktail is well priced ($11-13 outside of happy hour), though that of course can add up. But you pay for a superb, metropolitan vibe, an otherworldly, fun menu - seriously, brilliant! - an excellent, diverse playlist on a pleasantly lower volume, talented and tactful bartenders, and several cozy seating options, inside or outside, in a calm part of town. Bonus for the occasional passing train which I'm tempted to say couldn't physically be any closer than...

This is hands down one of the best places I’ve visited! The drinks are decently priced ($12 for an old fashioned), good tasting and the vibes are absolutely amazing! This is an upscale but not pretentious setting that is perfectly suited for mature students and established townies. It’s a small, intimate space so you can have a really good conversation. The place starts to get romantic when the sun sets and they light the candles at each table.

Great experience here after we left a previous restaurant. The decor was very plush and the ambiance was chill. Very clean and you could feel and see the attention to detail.

I had the Bloody Mary with brennivin aquavit, which was a very interesting taste. I also had the Tinned Smoked Oysters which were a great after dinner snack.
