Dunkin' — Restaurant in Athens-Clarke County Unified Government

The employees in this store are supppper nice, this review is not about them. This review is about Dunkin’ Donuts corporate and the way they’ve set up their order ahead website. I ordered 6 donuts from this store on the website that they did not say this particular store was out of, when I ordered. I paid for the order and when I got to the store, they were completely sold out of what I had paid for and the employees let me know that the website is not live updated, when you place an order from the prince store, so when you order, you may be paying for something that they’re completely out of. I don’t ever come to DD and was only ordering for my step dad for Father’s Day, who only likes certain things. When I asked for my money back, they said that I’d have to call corporate to get a refund and could not issue a refund in the store. They also let me know that even if another store in Athens had the donuts I wanted, I’d still have to call corporate and get a refund and that I couldn’t just go pick up the donuts at a different DD in town, even though I’d already paid for them. Just a heads up for anyone using the DD app. DD corporate really needs to live update their site if they’re going to accept money for an item and then not have it in that store or ATLEAST state clearly on the site that you can pay for an item online but be forewarned that there is no guarantee that they’ll have it when you get there. All to say, DD corporate has some work to do and the way they set up this online ordering is trash. Great...

Sadly this was the worst Dunkin experience I have had. After having to get up at 330 to take my wife to catch the shuttle to the airport I planned to get donuts to cheer up our kids since mom was gone on business. The store that opened at 5 wasn't the most convenient but that's ok. I get there at 4:58. Perfect I think cause now I can make a mobile order. I finalize my order by 502. Look up to see the restaurant is still dark. Oh well I have been opening shift before so it's a couple minutes late opening up. 512 finally lights are turned on and open sign is turned on. I will give them a few minutes to get my items ready. 515 I go inside. 517, "Sir we don't have the specialty spider donuts." Well that takes some of the fun out I think to myself. "Ok how about the glazed chocolate?" Plops 3 in the box that was setting open on the counter in front of another customer that I didn't realize had my other donuts in it already. Now there was no mention of the price difference of the donuts but I figured its only a few cents. Then I get my ice coffee. Ordered it with light ice as I like to taste my coffee. When I swirled it the ice was packed so full it didn't move. Being that I was already tired and annoyed with the delays and it was now 525 I didn't think it wise to address the issue. A few weeks ago, I went to this location to get a small drink and ice cream. When we got there, there was a woman at the ice cream bar, and the worker was giving them a ton of free samples, and they were laughing, and joking around. Me and my mother waited for a while, and then left. Just recently, I went back with a church group. It was September 16. The service was terrible. We looked at the ice cream, and I KID YOU NOT, there was a small, dead bug and a hair in one of the ice cream containers. I asked to get a different flavor on a waffle cone, and the worker literally tried to scoop the ice cream out with a spatula that was laying on the counter previously. She was struggling until she got the ice cream scoop, tried to scoop some out again, and dropped it between the circular containers. The whole process took about 15 minutes. The restrooms seem as if they are rarely clean, and one time a cockroach was skirting around the restroom floor. There was only two workers on the night that I went with my church group. One was working the drive-thru, while the other one was struggling to separate cups. The only good thing about this place is the sour cream donuts. There is a huge amount of places this place...
