Of the five dining halls at UGA, snelling takes the cake for being the best for light meals and breakfast. With the exception of the Bowl it features both typical cafeteria fair and a large selection of breakfast goods such as bagels, bread, spreads, cereals, and a full yogurt bar. The Bowl is Snelling's highest accomplishment, featuring a rotating selection of high-quality meat, vegetable, and grain dishes. Special shout-out to the steak flank and balsamic cabbage. It may not be the largest dining hall, but especially with it being open until 2am for late study snacks, don't sleep on this UGA Dining highlight!

We wanted to know what our daughter should expect with the meal plan. The entire experience is buffet style, all you can eat. Breakfast is $9.20, lunch is $$11.45, and dinner is $15.75. Depending on your child's caloric needs this can either be reasonably priced (for a 240lb football player) or grossly overpriced for someone who eats 1/2 bagel with cream cheese and a glass of milk for breakfast, a small sandwich and chips for lunch and a single plate square meal for dinner. You decide your own needs but this is expensive for the average person's needs.

Togo meals during the pandemic are ok, but this Final Exams week special menu is excellent; looks and tastes great. Breakfast is also great and love the convenience of grab and go breakfast with the breakfast chicken sandwich with fried egg.

This is strictly about the management and how they handle business. I received a call about two and a half weeks ago from the manager about a job opening. He had received me on a good referral and wanted me to interview for the position. After getting the necessary information, he notified me that an assistant manager would contact me to set up an interview. I waited two weeks for a call but received none. Finally, I get an automated email through the employment services website that the position has been filled. I was shocked, confused and appalled at the lack of professionalism. It's one thing if I were an unworthy candidate. But to inform me that I am a worthy candidate and inform me that you want an interview and then spurn me and hire someone else without even speaking to me again is thoroughly upsetting and extremely disappointing given that the establishment normally has a great reputation. I'm not sure how I'll handle things with them in the future....

Visited Snelling with my wife for something new. Nice facility, everyone very friendly, welcoming. Ordered Philly steak sandwich and fries. Unimpressed with the dull, tasteless sandwich, fries were room temp . . . but it's school cafeteria food, so no big surprise. Paid $11-something each + tax. About $23. No doggie bags allowed (for unfinished half sandwich). Ate there a few times before when in Ag school (Class '76), though the price was high then, too. Might revisit again in another 42 years. But, I'm 69 now, so, let me see . . . that would make me . . . Heck, think I'll stick with Taco Bell, food is consistent, tasty, good value. I'll bootleg my coffee from...
