I've gone here dozens of times and always loved the food. But after today I'm not sure if I'd want to go back with the waitress with the red tip dyed hair loudly talking crap on me. I ordered the fish and chip special. I was given 1 nice sized piece of battered fish and then a 1/4 piece of a broken apart unbattered fish. So naturally I was dissapointed I wasn't even given my full meal. (It was close to closing time by the way). Also, it was dissapointing that that quality of food even made it to a person's table, which makes me question if care about quality, or getting to go home since they were about to close. Anyways. The gave me a new piece of fish and the manager kindly explained what happened. But after that, a waitress with dark hair, but the ends dyed red started loudly and clearly stating that "I would neverrrr complain about my food! Unless there was something on it I couldn't eat!" It totally killed my mood and the atmosphere that someone could talk crap on a customer right infront of them and infront of other customers. It makes the restaurant look bad. I didn't have an issue with there being a problem, I have an issue that that food would be sat infront of me without a word being said that half of it is missing, I have an issue with the lack of care, and I have an issue with a waitress that has no standards, discipline, or care about the people that are making...

This was on a whim, so take this review with a grain of salt as we went at peak time. That means longer waits, a bit of a rush on cooks, and more tables for servers. So let's give credit where it's due; these workers are amazing. Service is 5 stars as not only did I receive amazing service but I witnessed others acquire above and beyond interactions. These workers go above and beyond to curate your experience. Thank them kindly and be sure to tip well.
The food is alright. A bit bland with seasonings in some items but it's presentation is absolutely gorgeous. Not to mention there is salt and pepper to season to taste. For me, this was a bit of a bummer as the food didn't justify the price. This is a personal opinion and maybe it'll tickle your fancy more than mine.
Again! Let me emphasize, I went at peak business so this may not always be the case. However, if you have sensory issues i highly suggest noise cancelling headphones. The lighting is perfect as the old style diner is well lit with sun and the AC offsets the warmth from it. This place is very overstimulating, so please be cautious if crowded and loud areas aren't your cup of tea.

Read moreThe food here was okay, but definitely not good enough to fix the terrible service we received this morning. Me and my husband were stopping through on our way back home to SC and wanted to get breakfast with our friends from Athens. This was everyone’s first time trying this restaurant and from the moment we walked in the door the man working had a terrible attitude. A few of our friends were walking from their car and he told us to go wait outside in the cold until they got there. Then, when all of us were there he proceeded to rudely tell us they don’t accept parties larger than 6 (we had 8, but there was hardly anyone there on a monday morning) and said next time we’ll have to sit separately. There was another table seated that was waiting on the rest of their party but he didn’t make them wait in the cold. He talked to us rudely the entire time, didn’t pay hardly any attention to us when we needed something. After we were done paying we were trying to say our goodbyes to each other and he told us all to “stop blocking the doorway” and said we needed to go outside. Again, there was hardly anyone there, maybe I could understand if it was busy, regardless there was no reason to have such a bad attitude, we were simply eating breakfast. I can definitely say we will be taking our business elsewhere next time...
