Los Comales Tortilleria — Restaurant in Athens

Me & my coworker called and placed a pick up order and had her husband pick it up since we were unable to leave work. We ordered one chicken fajita quesadilla with rice and beans, one beef fajita quesadilla with the rice and beans on the side, and an order of French fries. Her husband drops off our order to us and we see that we received one chicken fajita quesadilla with rice and beans which was a mess in the box, one order of fries, and another chicken fajita quesadilla with no rice and beans, it was supposed to be the beef fajita quesadilla with rice and beans on the side. So we call and call and call for about 10 minutes until someone answers and I explain to them what happened and they said to bring the chicken quesadilla back and they’d give me my correct order and offered to give me rice and beans for free… I said the rice and beans come with it anyways so it shouldn’t be offered as free lol. We had already paid. I told them I was in a huge hurry and wasn’t even supposed to leave work and I needed an estimate on when I can quickly come in and get the new quesadilla so I can get back to work. They said 10 minutes. I wait ten minutes and head that way. Go inside and there is a line of about 6 people. Waited probably about 10 minutes in line and finally got the the front and explained I was there for my correct order. She went to the back and checked for a while and came back to the front and said it wasn’t ready yet. Super frustrating but finally got the food and got back to work to eat. Coworker did not like any of her food. Mine was okay but not great. Definitely not worth the time or money...

Nice local place for good, traditional Mexican food. Whether you eat in or get to go. Torta with fajita beef really good and flavorful. Crispy seasoned fries good. Little bite on those fries. Nice. Got their roast chicken family dinner to go for family. Very nice, flavorful. Came with roasted onions peppers, pickled onions and burning hot sauces. Plus rice and beans. Only thing missing was some tortilla's. Would have been nice to have a few. But a good meal and value. Also, we have gotten the street tacos and green Verde enchiladas in this trip. Really good. No trying to be offensive. The food was okay. Not the best I had. More so closer to Tex-Mex than authentic. Service was okay. A bit pricy for the quality but not horribly bad. The horchata seems like it is made out of the powder stuff, not the best and definitely not worth the cost. Atmosphere, would have gotten a 5 as it’s super chill in here though, just a bit warm in there. Beans were super dry, some of my meat was a borderline cold to warm when served. Nice people though. I’ll keep giving them a try but for now. It’s 3 stars for me. Looks...
