We eat here at least twice a month. My husband was raised by a Hispanic babysitter so he’s picky about his Mexican food. This place pleases our whole family. I LOVE their fajita nachos! The chips are perfect and hold up to all of the toppings- not too thin like most places- it always ends up being enough leftover for a late night snack or even breakfast. My daughter prefers the cheesy rice with chicken, steak, and shrimp and it comes with 3 tortillas to stuff it in. We aren’t huge fans of their salsa but usually ask for limes and eat a basket full of chips sprinkled with fresh squeezed lime juice and salt. I always leave with a to go order of amazing strawberries and crema with granola sprinkled over it. The kids usually get an ice cream cone. Don’t forget to grab a bag of wagon wheels and Japanese style peanuts! You...

For those who don't know, posole traditionally is a pork and hominy soup. The torta cubano is amazing: jalapeños, avocado slices, ham, pork, and the thinest tender hand breaded chicken you'll ever have and even though it's nice and thin it's still tender and juicy so it makes the sandwich just perfection. It has mayo too but I switch that for the green sauce.
The dessert here is amazing and you have about a million options. It's hard to believe this place started from a bus at a gas station, but even then it was worth the 15 minute wait for your food if you didn't call in your order first. These days the wait is much shorter and they have 2 locations to...

Their Colorado sauce is the best I've ever had, and both homemade hot sauces--the red and the green--are fabulous and uniquely creamy, not a runny or chunky texture most typical of hot sauces. The prices are reasonable, and the portions are plentiful. If you're looking for a Mexican restaurant with a server to take care of you, there are plenty of other options from which to choose. (Yes, they have tables, but this is primarily a counter-service place that does a ton of take-out business.) However, if the food itself is your focus, try the authentic, delicious, home-style recipes at Sabor Latino. And do yourself a favor: request both hot sauces. Fair warning,...
