I walked inside a little after 9 and I saw an uber eats driver waiting. I went up to the counter and a girl getting fries saw us but didn’t say anything and didn’t tell any coworkers to help us.
After 5 minutes, a man came up and told us they forgot to lock the doors and we shouldn’t be in here. I said that I’m sorry, I can leave but can I just get my food that I ordered and paid for online already now that I’m in here and its pouring rain outside? He walked back to the back and told his coworkers that he couldn’t get us to leave.
Next a nice lady came up and asked if we had been helped. I told her no and she asked us what we got. Both of us told her what kind of orders we had (uber eats and one ordered on the website for pickup). Then a manager I presume came to the front and asked if my order would be for dine in or carryout and I explained again to him that I just had an online order I wanted to pickup. He asked the name, I told him, and he apologized for the service.
Finally got the food and drove 15 minutes home to find out it was made completely wrong. Ordered a asiago ranch chicken club, no lettuce, no tomato, and extra ranch. Also a baconator fry and coke. The chicken sandwich had lettuce and tomato both still on it. The baconator fry barely had any cheese and the bacon was not broken up.
Horrible experience. I know its a pain when you’ve been busy all day because of students being back and whatever else but no one has any customer service skills anymore. Its not hard to look at the screen and make the food correctly either, especially when you’re not even busy at the moment. There were two cars in the drive through and two younger men in the kitchen standing around...
Read moreI love Wendy's. The 444 is the best deal of the century. I will never forget when I found out about the 444. I was sitting on the toilet, crying because I just found out the football team found a better waterboy to replace me. Then all of a sudden I got a notification from CNN, The New York Times, and The Washington Post with the headline "Wendy's Brand new 444 is real good u should try 1 rn" I immediately wiped the tears from my face and booked it out of the bathroom, pants still around my ankles. When I got to the Wendy the cashier said "wow u are the first one to order this. Hold on there's someone who wants to meet u." All of a sudden I felt a big warm hand place itself on my shoulder, followed by a booming voice that said "well hello young man". I turned around and my jaw hit the floor. Standing right in front of me was the owner of Wendy's, Mr. Wendy! He shook my hand and told me that he appreciates my support and that the 444 was in fact the deal of the century. Then he told me that he would grant me 1 wish with no rules. I thought real HARD and LONG but nothing came to mind. But then I started thinking about the football team, and how horribly they treated me. I knew in my heart Wendy's would never treat me that way, so I leaned into Mr Wendy's ear and whispered "I wish with all my heart to be the best waterboy in the whole wide world." He thought about it for a second, then looked at me with a big smile and tears in his eyes and replied "My dear boy, you already are..." He hugged me tight, shook my hand again, pulled out four $1 bills, handed them to me and said "this one's on the house :)" I'll never forget the night I met Mr. Wendy, and the best meal...
Read moreThere isn't a whole lot of choices in Athens Ohio so I stopped in for a coffee and ordered a 6-piece chicken nugget spicy. Drove out and reached into the bag while driving and ate one two three chicken nuggets and then nothing! They'd only put three nuggets in the dam bag go figure. I was picking up a client so couldn't go back so I called and the owner himself spoke to me and said stop at this location or the one in Lancaster he owns and I could get a free 10 piece to make up for it. Finally got back down to Athens on another job and they knew right away who I was even though it'd been a couple of weeks. Ordered the same coffee and the 10 piece and when I drove out the coffee was hot and it turned out it was two six pieces so they gave me 12. Problem was I forgot to say spicy! The spicy nuggets are much better. Still these are really nice people down here. Trying to get decent food at any fast food joint these days...
