China Garden Restaurant — Restaurant in Atlanta

Disappointing!! Shocking!!! Having ordered maybe 3 times in the Restaurant and 1 time online with no problems, I was suprised, shocked, and then angry after recommending China Garden on Monroe Drive across from Ansley Mall to my co-workers on a rainy Friday. I placed the order and paid online for 7 people (10 orders: Shrimp Fried Rice, Chicken Fried Rice, Shrimp Rolls, etc), spending 78 dollars and when my Co-worker showed me that the chicken in Chicken Fried Rice was not done, I called the place up. I said: Hey the chicken was not done in the rice and my co worker can not eat it. I was told I would have to bring it back so they could re-cook it. I told my co-worker and she said she could not eat it anymore, it she would get something else or the money back. When I asked the lady those questions, she repeated only to bring the food back and they would re-cook it and that was all they could do, I asked and again and she hung up on me. I was surprised and shocked first that there was no other resolution than to re-cook the same food and then mad that she hung up on me. Soooo... I went down there with the food and told her that I had just spoken with her on the phone regarding the under cooked chicken in the chicken fried rice and that she hung up on me. She told me that she hung up because that was all she had to say. I was shocked. I asked why there were no other options than to re-cook the same food, that if i could get something else that cost the same price because my co-worker could not eat it and she said: do you speak English...now...I had to repeat what she said back to her to find out if that was what she just asked me and she told me yes because she was speaking English and I was not getting it. I told her she was being rude and the comment was not called for and that we were not satisfied with the food under cooked and would like to either have another dish or a refund. She just got loud and told me basically no. I could not believe the establishment does not value there food or their customers. Please do not eat here. You are wasting your time...

Service has NEVER been the strong suite for this hole in the wall but the food has always been descent and they are one of the few with a good shrimp egg roll so I've dealt with it, until today... This is the 4th time we have ordered from my office for delivery. During the very first call for delivery, the woman who takes orders (and possible an owner) and I spent an extensive amount of time going over the address, location, landmarks etc. for them to confirm they deliver to this address. When I called today, I gave her the number I thought we had associated with this delivery address. After giving all three numbers she still couldn't find our 'file' and was clearly frustrated as she went so far as to tell me, in perfect broken English mind you, "you don't say anything else! You give all different numbers and no good....". I mean I took a tongue lashing like I didn't come straight home from school. She then proceeded to tell me to order from somewhere else and hung up the phone not once but twice. (Yep, I called back because I just KNEW she didn't get so bold as to hang up on a customer, especially one you know you have delivered to before!) We even went so far as to call back from another number (I know, too many chances but dammit we wanted Chinese! Lol) The verbal abuse continues as we attempt to clarify the price for and item that wasn't on the menu but she OFFFERED to a co-worker. By this time she is carrying on two conversations- one with me and obvious with another employee complaining about me in her native dialect. When I didn't realize she was speaking to me because she was going back and forth so vigorously, I asked "are you talking to me?" which really sent her over the edge. I decide it wouldn't be the smartest idea to place an order and hung up in the midst of her verbal tyraid. Needless to say, we won't be patronizing this...

I ordered via a 3rd party delivery app. My total came to $30.06. I ordered potstickers and kung pow chicken for some spice. The chicken comes with white rice, green peppers, onions, celery, peanuts, and carrots.

The potstickers were good and the steamed rice was as well...however the main entre was very unappetizing. I asked for no celery and no peppers, which was done correctly in my order, but i asked it were possible to substitute broccoli for those 2 itmes being taken out. there was no broccoli in my order but as stated they did correctly omit the celery and peppers. I understand the restaurant has the right to decline that request, or maybe even charge a little extra, but some type of correspondence from the restaurant as to why they couldn't fullfil that request would have made me feel heard and valued as a paying customer.

The meal itself was very disappointing, both in taste and visual appeal.I honest ito god couldn't tell the difference between a peanut or a piece chicken or a mushroom because the chicken was diced so small literally everything was all the same size...And eveything was this off beige color. my order did not come with carrots as advertised nor was it all thats spicy.

Over all I felt very ignored and just like a number. It seems like my money was just taken and then my needs/desires as a paying customer were tossed aside because this is a virtual order. The whole experience was very transactional with no real feel of any apparent customer service (my virtual ordering experience. I cannot attest to ordering in store, butI can tell you I won't...
