I visited this place today. I had a hard time finding parking so I had to call. I get the info (valet only). I'm fine with that. I get sat in the back and Izzy is our server. She is nice. We asked for water but she didn't mention it is a $4 bottle until the check comes. I asked about the date special I had seen online (they don't tell you about it). We order oyster appetizer. It took so long. We are sitting by a window so we see her when she leaves from the back to the front. She is mingling with her coworkers up front. The oysters aren't at the table. Not sure why but she stayed up front while someone else brought the oysters back to us. The meals are brought out a short time later. The Turf in the Surf and Turf was tender but overcooked (ordered medium- received medium well). The lobster had no seasoning - no butter, no garlic. The lamb chops were tough and overcooked as well. It had no seasoning. I asked for salt and pepper but it did nothing to help the flavor. Then comes the check. The check is presented on the black thing in her hand. She goes over the check but conveniently does not scroll to the bottom. But I am a numbers person and 100 for the date night special plus 8 for the 2 waters does not make anything 140. So I told her she is moving too fast and asked her what the difference was. She says taxes. By this time I done moved that tab back to the receipt side (she had done moved to the tip screen). I scroll to the bottom. I asked her what the $20+ was for (taxes were like $8). My friend says gratuities. So now I am angry - not because I wasn't going to tip but because she left that out and tried to get me to do an ADDITIONAL tip! She says she was going to mention it. No you weren't. You were on the screen telling me to select a tip. So then she says it is on the menu. No. It is not. The menu is digital. So after I paid, she left and NEVER came back to the table. I looked on the site for this 20% on all tabs. No where to be found.

I like to try new restaurants but I won't be back to this one. And I won't refer anyone. Because all she had to do was BE HONEST. Don't try to get over on people who visit your...

We got there and we ordered water. They came in a bottle. We didn’t really think much of it But when we got our bill, we found out that we were actually charged for the bottle of water. We ordered the potatoes and Parmesan cheese. It was inedible. The Parmesan cheese was not even melted and it was very rubbery. We got our food and I took five bites of my food. I ordered the chicken Alfredo and my boyfriend ordered the shrimp Alfredo. The food was so salty. It was inedible like I said I only took five bites. I couldn’t eat anymore and my boyfriend probably ate maybe a fourth of his food. When we spoke to our waitress and informed her that we were not happy with the food, she said she could get us something else, but she would have to charge us for that meal on top of the other meals. We asked for the manager and the manager came over and asked us what was wrong and we explained it was so salty we Couldn’t eat it and he said that because we took bites out of our food that he couldn’t comp our meal that he would be willing to give my boyfriend 50% off of his meal but not mine and he would give us two shots for free which we took, but neither one of us actually wanted them. And then he took our plate even though he was charging us full price anywhere I’ve ever been that has decided to com your meal usually takes your plate because that’s how that industry works. When we got the bill, my boyfriend started going through It. We found out that they did in fact charge us for the shots that we didn’t even want And the bottle of water and he only took off 50% off of my boyfriend’s meal but not mine and they added a 20% gratuity and there was only two of us. I will not be going back there the service the manager, the food not good at all. Don’t waste your money. It’s...

I had a wonderful experience at Octopus Kitchen in Atlanta while celebrating my sister’s birthday! The atmosphere was fun and welcoming, and our server Chloe was absolutely amazing, super friendly, attentive, and really went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. I highly recommend both the restaurant and asking for Chloe if you visit!

As for the food, it was mostly enjoyable. I ordered some dishes to eat at the restaurant and also took some to go. The fried calamari was decent—crispy and flavorful, but a little too much breading for my taste. I would’ve preferred more calamari in each bite.

The seafood pasta unfortunately, was a bit of a letdown. The scallops and shrimp were overcooked, which really impacted the texture and flavor. Scallops, in particular, tend to get a strange taste when overdone. It was disappointing, especially given the price. Oddly enough, others in my party ordered the same dish and theirs tasted much better, so I’m guessing it was just an off plate or the chef lost track of timing on my order.

That said, I still really enjoyed the overall experience and would love to come back and try the seafood pasta again—hopefully cooked properly next time!

Review/Message for Kristen at Octopus Kitchen: Kristen was absolutely phenomenal in helping me decide to come back to Octopus Kitchen. She made me feel truly valued—not just as a customer, but as a person. As a waitress and server, she went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. She helped me with the food, making great recommendations and checking in to be sure everything was just right. Her kindness, attentiveness, and genuine care made a huge difference. Thank...

This was so disappointing… My homie wanted good food and drinks for his birthday and sadly it didn’t happen here. Our Seating was had ambiance but was tight, it was a struggle keeping the hair from the women at the next table out of my personal space especially while trying to sip a cocktail. My drink was alright, I got the Odessa b/c I love St. Germain, my friend didn’t even finish his. Hookah: the Mighty Freeze flavor was bomb! Appetizers: octopus egg rolls were pitiful, the truffle potatoes were pretty good. Let’s talk about the entrees. I concur with other reviews, ladies pack some seasoning in your purse if you come here. My scallop pesto pasta was soooo bland. How do you make pesto bland? I was so confused! Look at my plate in the picture, I had to strain my pasta before I took a bite there was so much oil! My companion said his lamb chops were alright. They did not look like any of these pictures. You know what else didn’t look like the pictures? The baklava. I promised my friend great baklava for his special day. The pics show the phyllo dough version. They brought out the Fistik Dolma version which is an acquired taste. It had a weird aftertaste also. In turn, our server brought out a fruit platter to make up for it. The honeydew tasted like meat, like it’s been stores made beef or something and took on its taste/odor. The strawberries and caramel sauce were good. Almost $250 later, I wish I would’ve just cooked instead. The 2 stars are for the service, our server was sweet and attentive and valet was chivalrous and professional.
