TLDR: I am a born vegetarian for religious reasons and these people put meat in my food and the manager was not apologetic in the slightest about it. No vegetarians should ever order from this place.
For more information, you can read the following synopsis.
Past experience with the restaurant: To be clear about my past experience with this restaurant, I had ordered from this restaurant three times before. They had not messed up an order, so I honestly believed that they would not make a mistake. How foolish I was to believe that.
Order information: I ordered take out for 1 family order of paneer tikka masala (supposed to be a completely vegetarian dish) and 2 naans.
The specific issue: While I was eating, I found pieces of meat on the bottom of the tikka masala.
The reason I am angry: I was very angry when I found this, as I am a strict vegetarian from birth (stemming from my religion). However, I did not want to rush to assumptions that it was meat (as I had never tasted meat before in my life), so I called the restaurant itself.
The call to the restaurant: When talking to them, the front desk operator (the person who took calls for delivery orders) seemed to be genuinely concerned and immediately called a person who I assumed to be the manager.
When I asked him (the manager) about my issue with the curry, he said that they double check, that the people who checked were highly experienced, and that it was highly unlikely that there was meat. Later, my roommate (who does eat meat) tasted the pieces and confirmed that it was indeed real meat at the bottom of the curry.
The part of the conversation I take issue with: The manager continued to say that he would have wanted me to come over to the restaurant if it they were not closing up shop right now. He asked me when I could come over, and I said that I could not come over for the next four days. His tone immediately became sharp and he said, and I quote, “Is there anything I can help you with?”
I felt that to continue the conversation would be meaningless at this point as the manager, who was very responsive initially, became very quiet afterward. I felt that he was taking me as a rude customer who was just calling the restaurant to yell at them because they were angry. In reality, I was scared, panicked, and angry. I was only trying to see what the manager’s reaction would be, and I have to say, I am downright disgusted at the nonchalant attitude he took to the problem I had with the food.
To be honest, I was not even trying to fight for some compensation or anything like that. I could care less about that. All I was looking for was some sort of apologetic tone, no matter how fake it was. That would be enough for me. Throughout the conversation, I did not hear that tone once at all. Not even a fake one.
Issues with staff: Now, not all people at that restaurant seem to be bad. The front desk lady seemed to be nice enough and cared enough to call over the manager.
I do take issue with the manager who responded. No matter the issue, no person should take it with nonchalance. At least...
Read moreMy partner and I have visited this location twice. The first time, I had the Kapoor & sons Thali and he had the tikka masala bowl. My food was almost too oily to eat, and gave me an upset stomach after. My partner finished it and noticed that his stomach was upset as well. His tikka masala was fine but definitely not as good as or better than literally any other Indian food location in the metro area. Additionally, they charged us for itsy bitsy naan bites and we did not receive them. We accepted that as our own fault for not checking the bag before we left. The samosas were the best part of that first experience. When we were there, we noticed a chicken sandwich on the menu after we’d already ordered, so we decided to come back and try it. This second time, we had to wait a very long time and watch multiple others who came in after us be served before us. Additionally, I ordered, and made sure to CLARIFY my order with the cashier before paying (since there was a mix-up the last time), which he confirmed. When my food was finally brought out, we were missing several items. I had a lengthy back-and-forth with the cashier about the food I’d ordered and the fact that I confirmed it with him, at which point he said something to the individuals in the kitchen , which prompted someone shortly thereafter to come out with an order of Naan bites (which were missing from my original order) that he tried to present as some sort of gift for waiting. I informed him that I was still missing part of my order, and to keep the story short, still ended up leaving without all the items I originally ordered because I was sick of arguing with people at an establishment I was patronizing about items I had clearly ordered. The chicken sandwich was actually fine but nothing spectacular. The vibe is cute enough, I guess. All in all, an unremarkable place that has had sub-par service during all of my visits. It’s hard for me to call it a coincidence as a black person in this city who frequents Indian establishments (the ‘cism is strong, y’all) but either way, I will not be returning and can...

I contacted the place ask to speak with the manager they made me explain to a co-worker what was going on when I kept asking to speak with he manager the young lady had an attitude. Finally got a chance to speak with the manager he said his name was Mr Siad and explained to him what happened he got very defensive and was upset and tried to tell me I was lying when I have paperwork. Instead of taking into consideration what a customer is saying he went along to say his business is great and he have no idea what I'm talking about. It was very upsetting and heart breaking to explain to an establishment where I have spent my money at what happened to me from eating there did and they basically tell me they don't see nothing wrong. I will never come...
