Grips Good Eats & Sweets — Restaurant in Atlanta

I was so excited about trying this restaurant but was highly dissatisfied , my main reason for the visit was to try out the waffles all I got was a box cake made with a waffle maker and icing from the local grocery store and it was over priced..I didn’t even get the ice cream with it but I paid 12 dollars for it..smh I feel I could have made it Better at home and actually used real waffle batter..The wings were ok but it was cooked in old grease I spent over 30 dollars for only a 5 piece no fries or drink 2 cheap box cake waffles and a oreo French toast which the French toast was actually ok I can’t hate on that one..Drinks did not come with anything I feel they need to do better , give ppl what they are coming for don’t short cut them..Give ppl real quality food not some cheap hood quick fix that’s over priced.. I believe they can do better..They are blessed to have they’re own...

I been wanting to try this restaurant for some time now based off the instagram pictutes. Since I just flew back in today I figured I would try it and support a black own business since I was on this side of town. However, the owner is very rude and unprofessional the food is medicore nothing to brag on especially for the prices. No one and I mean not anyone working in that establishment is wearing a mask but yet the owner (Heavy guy) was turning customers around with no mask on but yet he nor his employees wore a mask. I was always told you lead by example. No menus were provided until I was at the counter so that wasted time and since I wasn't ready to order I allowed others to go ahead of me. Despite the owners unprofessionlism the young lady taking the orders was very nice and pleasant. This was my first and last time supporting this...

I wanted to CAN but I can't! 1st off before any exchange or pleasantries were made, we walked in to NONE of the staff having on mask, not even the kitchen staff. Although, they have a sign on the door for Mandatory mask. 2nd, I placed my order, regular hot wings and then lemon pepper, the woman(whom I assumed to be the owner/manager)recommended their specialty, the spicy honey garlic ranch wings. She said don't get what I ordered, cause they ain't the best👀. BTW, I like to start lite and work my way up. 3rdly, we had to leave once I saw all the talking over the food in the back(w/o mask)plus the up charge to use your debit card. I had seen great pics posted of the wings, which is why I wanted to patronize. Black businesses stop being so common, in your businesses. Treat it like the business that you worked so hard to get.
