Worst place to eat purchased perch sandwich it was not seasoned and undercooked. I immediately called store and explained to gentleman that took phone order he advised me to come back with food and receipt for refund. I immediately went back he advised manager all the sudden she didn't understand English, she sent another worker over after she told her the nature of the complaint she began to talk loud so that she had the attention of all customers based on what manager told her, she did not come to me to ask what happened, but was stating it was a two piece and it was ate off and they never had a refund like that. I went to her and stated the fish is not seasoned and as you can see not cooked. Still loud she stated the fish is eaten these are pieces. I stated this was a whole piece I just broke it apart for the cashier who we were directed to first so she could see it was not cooked and the batter was falling off. She was still loud and defensive as if I did something wrong drawing the attention of the customers.I asked for the corporate office she stated go to the web site and when you call Mohammed is going to say the same (so I guess she is not familiar with term corporates office) you should have returned after the first bite. Take it from me never eat there, she should never hold a job dealing with the public because someone forgot to teach her customer service listen and resolve not to be defensive. NEVER EAT AT THIS LOCATION If there was a zero rating I would...

Everyone knows JJ’s has the best chicken but the customer service is absolutely the worse ever and I will specifically never patronize the University location again. I was in the area and decided to stop by for a 6 piece and a lemonade. I politely requested that i have LIGHT (a splash) syrup in my drink. Once the order was complete i asked the Asian gentleman who prepared my drink could he remake it bc the syrup was extremely heavy. He then begin chastising me as if I was a child. Making excuses on why he couldn’t do it, Throwing insults, saying the syrup comes out heavy and to deal w/it, then proceeds to ask me for an additional $4 after I paid $14 for the meal. I was in shock. He then refused to give me my drink. I grabbed my drink and told him i do not wish to go back and forth and left. I was hurt bc I work hard for my money and he chose to take his frustrations out on me. My concern is why do patrons have to come into this location and be treated like gum on the bottom of your shoe. Have you no professionalism? I understand the location class but many the citizens in that area have kept the lights on at JJ’s for years and will continue too. Please don’t disrespect your customers by making them feel intimidated because you lack professionalism and...

I'm sorry but on the whole, I really did not enjoy the food from this place. I was visiting from out of state and was told I should go there for some fried catfish. I think that my biggest complaint about the fried catfish was the breading! I'm really not 100% sure what type of breading they used for the dish; however, it had a bit of a weird aftertaste or something like that. I don't know what was going on with it!

I also didn't really appreciate the atmosphere of the place. It was a bit of a hole in the wall for the most part. I initially looked past that fact because sometimes, it is necessary to go to the places that are holes in the wall whereby one will have an excellent experience! Unfortunately, that did not ring true this time. The floor was kind of sticky and dirty, as you'll see from my photos.

The lone items that I did quasi-enjoy were the onion rings. They tasted pretty decent. Though I think that they were just onion rings they probably bought in a grocery store's frozen food section somewhere and cooked those.

I think I spent $70 that night buying food for myself and several other relatives. My aunt didn't enjoy her catfish nuggets, either. The food was "okay." Yet, I'm confident that I wouldn't order...

This is a stop we make anytime we have to got to the airport because of its proximity. Our entire family affectionately calls this spot Hood Chicken. It’s not in nicest of neighborhoods, but I have seen people of ALL races stop here for chicken! This is by far the crispiest chicken on earth! It takes us almost 30 minutes to get back to our place, and it’s STILL HOT and crispy and Delicious! They have a shaker on the table that is filled with (for lack of a better word) chicken and French fry crack! I can’t tell you all the herbs/spices in it, but I can tell you: it’s the BEST seasoning on EARTH!! On this trip we got a 10 piece (that’s FULL SIZED WINGS (the wing and the ding) unlike some places that charge full price when the wing is separated) I’ve tried 3 flavors of their lemonade…(also liquid crack) it’s the perfect blend of everything, the sweet, the sour and the flavor! My only complaint is that they put a half of a lemon in the cup which obviously takes up a LOT of space and therefore the customer pays full price when you gave me half the liquid. I have only been to this location, but found that there are others. I wouldn’t recommend you go at night, but that’s just my personal take.

Looks can be deceiving. But the place is great for what it is. The food was very reasonably priced. I ordered the 10 wing combo to share. The special seasoning gave the wings an even better taste. The wings were the perfect size, had the perfect amount of crispness, and flavor. I want to add that these are WHOLE chicken wings, not little wingettes. The food was nice and hot and tasted really fresh. I had to use the bathroom while here and to my surprise the bathroom was clean and well stocked! I went on a Thursday around noon. So there was a bit of a lunch crowd so I got my food in less than 10 minutes. The customer service was good too. I told her I was new and it was my first time there, she was very patient with me and answered all of my questions. I didn’t feel rushed at all. It’s hard to find a spot with good whole chicken wings these days. For the price, taste and cleanliness, I will DEFINITELY be returning the next time I make a trip to Atlanta. Please note: I went in and there was a lot of loitering by people begging for money or giving there business cards.
