I ordered a gluten-free Mighty Meaty pizza and PAID EXTRA for pepperoni, bacon, and mozzarella while eliminating the Italian sausage. I placed the order online more than an hour before pickup after a 14-hour shift. What I received was nowhere near the standard pictured on Mellow Mushroom’s own website (see photos for comparison). For a brand that markets itself as premium, this was unacceptable. The manager on-site handled it graciously and remade the order, and I want to be clear: the customer service was solid. The issue isn’t the people working hard in the restaurant — it’s the standards they’re being asked to work within. When a $30+ pizza leaves the kitchen with skimpy toppings and a presentation that looks nothing like what’s advertised, it signals a deeper problem. This is truly false advertisement. Customers aren’t paying premium prices for bare-minimum ingredients. Mellow Mushroom built its reputation on bold flavors and quality, not shortcuts. If corporate wants to keep long-term loyalty, it needs to stop cutting corners and start holding every store accountable for consistency, value, and product integrity. At these prices, there’s no excuse for serving food that looks like an afterthought. Either raise the standard or risk losing customers who are willing to pay top dollar for quality.

This place is awesome! I walked to the Beltline for a lunch break.. I am selling some beautiful 3 story Townhomes by DR Horton down the street on Benteen & Boulevard. I had the pleasure of meeting Linda Smith when I came in for lunch. She was fantastic and very friendly & helpful. With a background in Hospitality I ask a lot of questions when I see new things. Linda was great at explaining this very different and unique concept for Mellow Mushroom. To tell you the truth, I loved it and it could have been the combination of the food, cool concept & her positive energy. The good vibes were flowing in the restaurant and everything was spotless! It's not easy to keep things clean during a busy lunch rush. I also met a gentleman working who delivered my Pizzini (delicious 😋) and checked back in on me, I believe his name was Clayton.. Keep Up the Great & Mellow Vibes! I will see you again soon.

They've been open a month and were very quiet on a Thursday afternoon at lunch time. I don't think people know that they're open yet. Not crazy over the parking. The parking is the reason for four stars. Make sure you scan the UPC code that's on the wall of the parking deck before you go to the restaurant so that you don't get booted. The people who work there were lovely and the service was good. The atmosphere was fun, very different from a lot of the other mellow mushrooms that I've been to. I don't think it's sterile like another reviewer said it's just different. Wish I had taken pictures of the inside. The outside was pleasant So that's where we ate. This will be a great addition to the Grant Park area.

I walked into order a pizza the person took my order and then told me it was going to be a 10 minute wait but I waited at least 30 to 35 minutes and no order so I went up to ask the person at the register what's going on with my order he was saying I'm sorry ma'am but it's going to be a little more longer we a little busy with the online order I waited again for at least 10 to 15 more minutes I walk back up to the counter and asked about my order for the second time the manager was at the register at that point with a black shirt on he said his name was Clarence hopefully I have his name right something with a C that's the beginning of his name he say he was the manager he also told me that my food wasn't ready yet as well so stand there study waiting on my pizzaI looked up the manager notice that my food was ready and it was in the warmer but he didn't say anything to me at the time he noticed it he taught the pizza out the Walmart and took it to the back for what reason I don't know instead of just handing me the pizza that he noticed that was already in the warmer so I felt like he did something to it, and then when he walked to the back with the pizza he had a attitude so why would I want a piece of that he took out the warmer when he could have had it to me instead of taking it to the back off the pizza place I just didn't understand that for the life of me this manager do not have good customer service he's very rude bad service why let him run y'all restaurant whoever is the owner of mellow mushroom when he don't even know how to treat the customers right I just felt that I need to make this complaint maybe y'all need to find yourself a better manager that can run y'all...

So on Sunday I witnessed a manager young guy with the short little braids clean the outside patio with gloves on then come right inside and serve customers with the same nasty gloves on. I asked to talked to him and let him know I noticed what he did and what he should have done being the manager. His reply was (thank you for your observation) very condescending.

So a few times a week I come and get salads and for the last few times my salads have been an issue. Either something not on it that I asked to add and pay for or something off about the salad in general. But today I went in asked for the same salad and asked could the grilled chicken look grilled instead of looking like sandwich meat. The nice young lady went to see and guess what it was the manager I had seen with the dirty gloves.

So once my salad came out it didn’t have a top and it was poorly wrapped so I asked can it be wrapped more securely. That manager with the little braids brought me my salad back and stated he can’t add anymore wrap and I’m like why can you just put more on it as I’m walking from home. I also said it would be you because I know you feel some way because I spoke to you about the dirty gloves and you know better. So we had an exchange of words and I asked for my money back and dropped the salads because since you treated it like trash I don’t want trash either.

This was my favorite place to eat but I will not come back due to how nasty he is and was and he needs to be trained on how to properly clean and sanitize especially when it comes to handling food. He is nasty because he thought it was ok to clean and handle food with the same gloves on he washed tables down with...

We tried to eat here tonight for supper, and overall, it was frustrating. I want to first say that the staff did an incredible job considering the situation, and they were clearly not the source of the issues. The restaurant was maybe halfway full, and it took us over an hour to get one simple, two topping pizza.

From the beginning, the parking situation is confusing- there are so many QR codes, and I was trying to read the menu, order, read the parking instructions, and scan the correct QR code all at the same time so as not to take too much time at the register. The restaurant seemed understaffed, and there seemed to be a challenge in whether to prioritize in-person orders vs take out/food delivery apps.

We were given one of the buzzing coasters, but you have to put them on very specific areas of the table for them to work. But on my table, there weren't enough areas for the buzzers we had, and my buzzer had to be at the other end of the table where I couldn't monitor it. And the staff brought the food to our tables anyway, so I don't know why there was a buzzer in the first place.

It seemed like the main culprit in how long it took to get food was either an imbalance in prioritizing dine in or take out orders, and a lack of staffing. Everyone in my party waited over an hour for their food, and from talking to other people waiting, it seemed to be the shared experience of all patrons tonight. The staff were clearly working very hard, but the organization and staffing seemed to set them up...
