Came here to gather with family visiting from out of town. We're all adults so was looking for some something upscale to enjoy Saturday brunch. One family member had came once before and suggested we all try it. Decided to make reservations, considering we had 6 people in our party. Reservations are made via text. Okay, texted the number no response for a few hours. Called the number no response, just voicemail. Received an immediate text reply after the call stating that i would receive confirmation of my reservation shortly. Received confirmation. Cool. We’re set. A few hours later, Received a text with “House Rules/Restaurant Policy” regarding arrival time, parking info, large parties, auto grat, dress code, etc. and a very specific all caps message stating that the message should be shared with all members of the party. Ok, cool. Done
Arrived at designated reservation time. Checked in with host, which i had to figure out who that was after asking other guests because there is no defined host stand but a sign asking to wait to be seated. Once all of my party arrived we were seated right away. Great! Greeted by our server, Neisha right away. Great! Then things went left.
Water is served in plastic takeout cups. Was given a basket of random condiments and plastic takeout silverware with napkins for the table. Server takes our food and drink order all at once. That’s good. Bar drinks take about 15-20 minutes and are served in different glasses. Some of us had the same drink, but 2 completely different glasses and sizes. Appetizers came out pretty quick. As we’re enjoying appetizers we notice the music literally goes from a volume 8/9 to like a 20! We’re yelling at each other across the table, yelling at the servers asking for more water. No one can hear anything. So we’re trying to enjoy the vibe but it’s hard considering the conditions. About 30+min plus wait on food. Though our server was keeping us informed things should be coming out soon, it was quite a bit of a wait. I get it, it’s the Saturday morning brunch crowd, but they open at 11am. Our reservation was at 11:30am. They should be ready at least for the first rush of people.
Food was okay. Based on a survey of the table: the red velvet waffle + chicken was good, salmon egg rolls were good, and so was the fried fish grits. Banana foster French toast hard and over cooked. No banana foster sauce, just sliced bananas and strawberries and bagged glazed pecans, like the kind you use as a salad topper. Bacon was thin and cheap. Avocado toast, a joke! Literally store bought guac, the thin flavorless kind. Drinks were okay. All of the drinks were sweet and kind of tasted the same.
Overall, we definitely think the expectation of the customer and restaurant policies and environment don’t align. I’m asked to adhere to a certain dress code. Complied. But the host has ripped jeans and midriff top. Servers are literally walking around in spandex tights/leggings and restaurant branded black t-shirts. I’m asked to arrive on time with a small Grace period. Complied. But my food takes over 30 minutes to serve.
Our server Neisha was good. She was as attentive as could be, but only can do so much when you're waiting on bartenders and cooks to keep your flow going. It’s really unfortunate that the Atlanta Brunch is becoming the same repetitive, over priced underwhelming experience across the board. No matter the area. The music is always excessively loud. Like uncomfortable and intolerable yall, LoL. Like why do we have to be clubbing at 11:30 am?!
Between 6 people our check was over $300, each person averaging about $40-50/each. Considering they’re located in Buckhead and food costs are up, the long food wait times and the quality of everything, definitely over priced and not really worth it. Like why am I paying that much to drink out of plastic water cups and eat on plastic take-out silverware? Yea, its a no from...
Read morePLEASE READ BEFORE GOING!!! We expected a lot more with the reviews this place had but honestly we believe a lot of these reviews are FAKE. (Especially because with all those reviews you would assume that the place would be packed on holiday but it was empty when we went so that’s very suspicious)
First off when my family and I came here for Father’s Day, we had to pay $10 for parking. It’s such a damn rip off…just to park our own car next to the restaurant. As we walked in we were started at very weirdly by the staff. It made it feel very uncomfortable. The kept trying to force hookah and drinks in us. (Come to find out they have auto gratuity and they will try to raise her bill as high as they can to get 20% of it). They have a seemingly young and super unprofessional staff. Walking to our table you’ll see a bunch of workers just sitting together on their phones. It’s just not a very professional look for a restaurant at all. The place, especially the bathrooms are extremely dirty. Do not expect a nice clean environment here. Our waitress…I believe he name was Raven…was the worst server any of us had ever had. She never asked for our drink order, she doesn’t even pour our drinks, her attitude and demeanor is extremely off putting. She kept trying to force bottled water on us so they could charge us $4 a bottle FOR WATER!! She had hickeys all on her neck so again very unprofessional. It just seems like she has zero training in hospitality or the service industry. She kept forgetting things and wouldn’t bring them til like 15-20 minutes after we asked. She gave snarky remarks when I would remind her of something she forgot. So of course there is an automatic gratuity added to the bill no matter the party size bc with the awful service she probably wouldn’t make any money. Places with automatic gratuity should be boycotted at this point because their service most likely is going to be trash. The food is self was okay but not worth the money at all. The red velvet waffle taste like cake. Way too sweet and did not go well with the chicken. The French toast was hard as hell. The strawberries that came with it were rotten!! The chicken was pretty good. And the biscuits are the best thing they have. The steak they serve was an awful cheap cut of meat and was not cooked well at all. We would be willing to try other food but We will not be coming back here just based off the service alone. Please train your staff better. Do NOTTT believe the hype from the other reviews. I’m convinced most of them are not real. All the 1-2 star reviews are honestly the most accurate representations...
Read moreThis was the absolute worst dining experience I've ever had. When we arrived the floors were sticky even though mops were out like they had already cleaned the area. The ventilation above where we were seated was dripping water everywhere. They were one of the few places opened late on Sunday and we were hungry so we stayed. We were a party of 7. 2 of us ordered burgers, 2 of us ordered wings, 3 ordered pastas and a calamari. Although it was a very small serving the calamari was the best of all the dishes. Triniece was our server and she wasn't bad or anything. Service was just nothing to boast about and that's probably because they know they're automatically getting a tip they don't have to earn. Still everything was fine until the check came. We already knew there would be one check for the table because there was a disclaimer on the menu. The issue was the price differences between the receipt and menu prices. When asked about it the server went and spoke to management and came back to report that the menu was just wrong. Ok that's not our fault. Said they didn't realize it wasn't updated until our party mentioned it. Again that sounds like a them issue. If you're at Walmart and an item rings up for a higher price but they forgot to update the sticker.. Guess what they do the override and then go and fix their mistake. These ppl did not want to comp the difference and the manager who was sitting in a booth just running her mouth with other staff members refused to come speak to us. Never got any kind of apology just sent a crumpled up $10 bill by Triniece saying that's the best they could do. To be transparent the difference was only about $12 and our bill was nearly $300. Should've been nothing to adjust that for a so called successful establishment. Anyways after we decide we would just pay and leave the manager finally walks our way. Not to address us but to speak to the server. A member in our party says that's the manager right there.. Oh now she wants to get up. Wasn't talking to her but to the group. Do you know this woman told him not to talk to her, shut up and leave?? Wasn't even talking to her but if you're going to take it there let's take it there. She argues back and forth then walks to the back. The entire staff comes out as if they're going to jump us lol. It was pathetic. I would post her acting ignorant but there's enough videos of us out there like that. I would absolutely never recommend going here. So unprofessional and rude. And to top it off their menu pricing is still incorrect almost...
