I walked into a complexly empty restaurant with servers sitting in waiting area and no one greeted me as I went straight to bar. Sat there for a moment with a woman pouring drinks behind the bar, yet she didn’t address my presence! Moments later a girl approaches me from my right asking if I needed anything. I let her know I’d be ordering from the bar, and despite a woman standing directly in front of me, the server informs me that, there is no bartender so she would have to take my order. So I asked who the woman was making drinks behind the bar and she stated, oh That’s the Manager! I was so surprised being she didn’t open her mouth to speak or address me. I felt like if she’s making the drinks, she could also take the drink order. But I guess not. So I proceeded to order a Tito’s and Tonic and asked the server how much they charge for Tito’s. She stated $14.00 and I said ok! She came back a few Seconds later after telling the manager my order and let me know, they don’t have tonic… Would I like something else instead? I told her light cranberry. Instantly the manager made my drink and walked it over to me, STILL not saying a word. I thanked her. A split second later the same server appeared on my left before even taking a sip, she asked if I wanted to keep tab open or close. I informed her I would like to close, so she whipped out her handheld POS system and told me my total was $18.47. lol. I asked if she could print it out so I could see all my charges! She brought a receipt for Tito’s $14.00, a Restaurant fee 3% .42 cents, tax $1.25 and AUTO GRATUITY 20% at $2.80 for a grand total of $18.47 for a Basic pour of Tito’s with No Service from Bar and a Instant check. Not to mention my drink came in a cracked glass that I had to politely inform the a bartender, I mean Manager about. I informed her and asked if I could get another glass for the price I was paying and wanted to make sure there wasn’t any broken glass in my cocktail. Can you believe the bartender, I mean manager still didn’t speak a word. Even as she grabbed the glass, I complimented her nails and she couldn’t even thank me for that. She fixed me another drink and I began to slurp it. Two minutes later, a nice elder Caucasian couple came through the door and that same Bartender, I mean Manager came from behind the bar to Greet them joyfully. “ Hey Guys, Welcome in! Have a seat wherever you like and scan the QR code for the menu. If you have any questions let us know!” I honestly, I didn’t know she had it in her! But hey, Im not judging. Maybe she was having a bad day with staff being late and took it out on me, meanwhile lit up with service for the elder Caucasian couple! Overall as a Black owned businesses, we got to do better! Milgaina was Great though! She checked on me a few times as I sat there and wrote this review! But Kim the manager, could do much better being she’s in a lead role. This review is not to deter people from attending The Boiler Seafood Atlanta but to inform what you may encounter if things don’t change! I stopped by because I was getting an Oil Change at Pep Boys and figured let me Grab a cocktail while I wait! But anywho!...
Read moreWe went for the $45 all you can eat crab Tuesdays, took my mom for her birthday. The lady who waited on us to was nice, but she told us that both people had to order the all you can eat in order to participate, which idk how true that statement was, as from reading other reviews, that may be untrue. It’s cool that’s what we both came for anyway, but then I thought about it, what if one of us were allergic or just simply didn’t want them? You saying I can’t get them because they can’t??
Anyway the restaurant is small and has a cute ambiance. My moms enjoyed her crabs and so did I. My favorite flavor between the two (Cajun and garlic butter), would be the garlic butter, although I tasted no garlic, the butter was still tasty. The Cajun tasted like a dull ketchup and had a weird taste to it. Idk if it may have been the spice level I got, which was mild, but it tasted so funny I couldn’t eat them. The medium was spicy to me and I didn’t like the flavor on that one either so I just sent those right on back and ordered the garlic butter for the remainder of our time there. Corn was bland didn’t have any flavor, potatoes were nice and soft, but again no flavor, and you really can’t mess up a egg, but it also was bland 😭 I couldn’t eat them just the crabs, which were small, but flavorful! The lemonade was good! Cheesecake was good, and the overall service was good. Oh and 20% GRATUITY will be included on your bill, so know that before you go and decide to tip!
Only thing I would have to complain about, is the so called valet parking DIRECTLY outside of the restaurant which is crazy, like cmon man, move them cones and stop tryna hustle folks. This is not a nightclub. It wasn’t busy at all and there were spots available. Also the bathroom on the left, that toilet 😷 y’all need to revamp that mf! That toilet being in the corner is crazy, you can barely reach the handle to flush. It was only a pump of soap left, so thank God I got to wash my hands, but this is a SEAFOOD restaurant, people are going to need to wash their hands!! Like cmon y’all making too much money in there for the bathrooms not to be clean, for there not to be soap, and to be supplying that cheap toilet paper and paper towels y’all got in there. Yeah the bathroom ruined the experience for me if you can’t tell 😭 but I understand that some nights may be better than others. So I will come back to try other menu items and drinks! Overall...
Read moreThis was my first snd last time going. I made reservations for a party of 6. I called many times ahead of time to advise I was running alittle past my arrival time but most of my guests will be there. I spoke to a host named Abby who told me if I move my time time to 30 min later there will be no tables but if half of my party showed up then they will seat rhem at the orig time. Well that is exactly what happened only for me to walk in and see them still seated at the bar when there were clearly 3 to 4 open tables and thry still weren't seated. I got there and kept hearing excuses and excuses of "oh those people just paid they about to get up etc etc" after waiting 45 mins we finally get seated and then for me to pay $18 for a Pina Colada that was super sweet and too thick to drink through.a straw qnd no alcoholnin it they half a half a shot of dusse. NO THANKS!! Our food comes and for the prices we pay the food was wayyy over cooked. 90% of my crab clusters had no meat at all in the shell and way too much salty sauce. I asked our server can I have my sauce on the side and they couldn't accommodate that at all. All the fried food was over cooked yet not burnt and one of my guests never got his food at all and it was a simple fried shrimp/tender basket. Another guest of mine had wings and can I say the wings were so small a 6 month old could hold them. I promise no exaggeration here LOL. They tried to compensate by giving her a binch of micro baby wings. Good flavor though. Other gues had way too over cooked Calamari and what happens???? Straight rubbery. The manager Ebony or Eboni came out to talk to us. At first she was a bit defensive with her wall up until we all explained what happens then she swapped out my drink and brough out my guests missing food on the house. I appreciate her effort and professionalism but we still won't be back. This is a pre club spot for the under 30 crowd. Per the menu we were excited as we all are seafood LOVERS but I will stick to Krab Hut in Duluth or Wild Crab in Hiram, GA. Better service, stronger drinks, better prices and more bank...
