Salon Moraee — Local services in Atlanta

This was my first time visiting the salon and it was fantastic! First, the salon is beautifully designed, well-kept, clean, and very spacious. My appointment was with Alisia. Upon arriving I was pleasantly greeted by Alisia (she is the salon owner) who asked me to tell her about my hair, how I'd like it styled and escorted me to the shampoo bowl. I recently took down crocheted faux locs and made an appointment for the “Shampoo + Style- Scalp Detox.” If you’ve never had a scalp detox, do yourself a favor and book one NOW! The Shampoo: Tayler shampooed and performed the detox on my scalp. Aside from being friendly and having great energy, she was thorough and mindful of me being “tender- head.” It’s important to note, my detox involved scratching the build up and dry skin off my scalp, but it wasn’t painful. When the water touched my scalp during the shampoo, it literally felt like my scalp could breathe and was actually absorbing the water! After my shampoo and detangle (which was surprisingly seamless), Tayler gave my neck and scalp a quick massage before placing me under the dryer with my conditioner. The dryer seating was very comfortable and was an overhead dryer that didn’t make you feel confined to an uncomfortable hooded dryer chair Styling: Alisia was great and very mindful of the care she was taking while styling my hair. Additionally, her spirit seemed to keep the energy fun and upbeat in the salon. As she was blowing out my hair, I shared with her that I have not been detangled so easily before (my hair is very dense and all natural/ coils), she quickly gave props to Tayler for doing such a good job with the conditioning and detangling process- that’s not only the sign of a great salon owner, but a team player who lifts others up. Throughout the process, Alisia was mindful of consistently spraying heat protectant on every area before applying heat. Additionally, she pointed out that I needed a trim and did NOT cut all my length off- Hallelujah! My hair was beautifully done and to top it all off when I returned home, one of my neighbors complimented my hair sharing how flawless and healthy it looked. Needless to say, I left Salon Moraee as a happy new client who will certainly return again! Thank you, Tayler, and Alisia for bringing my scalp and hair...

Never in my days have I been treated the way I was by Darious during my appointment. He’s self centered and only worries about his highest paying clients, he does not care about your time and he’s lacks accountability when it comes to providing customer service. I won’t go into full details of my treacherous encounter but I will say this- if you visit this salon try anyone BUT Darius! He moves at the pace of a sloth and does not know how to do a 27 piece quick weave install! My appointment was set for 1pm with a 2hr service quote and by 2.5hr mark we were barely halfway finished. When I commented on the style and amount of time it was taking he got offended, became sarcastic and made me very uncomfortable with his attitude and demeanor. When this happened I excused myself out of his chair to avoid conflict but to my surprise within moments of me walking away He had the AUDACITY to look me in my face and tell me he wasn’t doing my hair anymore.. he had me looking crazy and handed me my products while the assistant (who was no help just nosey) proceeded to hold the door open for my exit. I’m utterly disgusted by the way I was treated and even tho this was my 3rd visit to this salon I WILL NEVER RETURN!!! As a service provider myself, when Darious told me his $400 client was who he’d rather service over me had my face on the floor. That was the ultimate offense, because someone is spending more money at the time does not mean my money is not good enough. He’s classless, obnoxious and needs a reality check in professionalism because HE LACKS IT. This was a silent session so idk what had him distracted from the task but it was giving- he didn’t know what he was doing . He was inconsiderate of my time as well as his future appointments that day but proceeded to act like he wasn’t the problem… and to top it off upon your exit from the parking garage you’re greeted by human feces on the stairs!!!

This happened to me yesterday and I had to calm myself before writing this experience review because that encounter had me fuming!!

I wrote a review a week or so ago of Salon Moraee because the lady who answered when I called for an appointment was very impersonal, and responded to my "good morning, how are you?"... with an abrupt 'FINE'. She offered zero professional courtesy or polite phone etiquette by asking the same of me. I was totally turned off at such curt responses so I told her I had wrong number and ended the call. She showed no interest or concerns for me and why I called that morning or returned my call, until my review posted. I would like to believe her efforts to make that unfortunate situation right, by way of a free haircut if I take my review down, would be OK. The irony to this story is this woman was borderline harassing me with phone calls and texts to take the review down and now all the stylists at this salon are too busy, and booked all day and all night, to get me in before my surgery next Tuesday the 20th. Today is Monday and I wrote the review Tuesday the 6th. Still no haircut even though I took the review down right away. It seems once again my courteous nature was not mirrored by this salon. Funny how this salon was able and willing to squeeze that other reviewer in the same day she called just this past week. The sense of urgency on behalf of Salon Moraee seems to have faded (with me), now that I deleted the review. I prefer to share my experience with others versus a free haircut anyway.

... ...Alisia is now trying to say I cancelled two appointments, which is simply not true. She was not polite, professional or courteous when she answered my original call, so special attention was not required. I only expect to be treated as I treat others. This woman is over the top manipulative and dishonest. I suggest if you want a haircut you might want to go somewhere else just to avoid this woman's outrageous attempts to debunk the fact she is just...
