This place does false advertising and used bait and switch tactics to get us here so customers beware. I had friends and family in from out of town and carefully planned our entire weekend. I found the advertisement on eventbrite for “Vybez Brunch” it clearly says they’d have a brunch menu and that their doors opened at 2 and everyone was free with rsvp by 4. We arrived around 2:30. We had our rsvp confirmation for 10 people. They told us only 2 people could get in free because that was the rule and it didn’t matter that they sent me confirmation tickets for 10 people. They said everybody would have needed to do their own rsvp from different emails to get in free. They charged us $20 per female and $40 per male to get into this restaurant to eat. Once we were in and ready to eat they informed us they did not have a brunch menu. We’re like what!! No brunch!! We just spent $160 to come in here for brunch that they are clearly advertising online and inside the establishment but in fact did not have to offer. What a sick joke! Then there is no free parking. They charge you $20,$40 or $60 to park and all the spots are in the back of the restaurant so ladies be prepared to pay and walk a good distance to the door. To give a fully honest review The place was newly renovated and had a nice atmosphere, my drinks were good and the DJ was great. Still not enough to compensate for the lies that this establishment is doing with their false advertising. I won’t be supporting this establishment or recommending it to anyone because of their blatant bad business. I attempted to get a clear understanding from the guy at the door but he was very sarcastic and unreasonable. Telling me what the radio advertisement said when I never heard a radio advertisement but could clearly read what they had posted online. He told me that didn’t matter. I felt like we were extorted for money at the door. We witnessed other groups of more than 2 people show their ticket confirmations and come in without paying. And to top it all off our waitress was horrible. We had to service ourselves by walking back and forth to the bar to order. As a business owner myself, I love supporting other new small businesses however I do not support shenanigans such as this. I do not recommend this establishment on the grounds that they would so blatantly scam advertise and extort money from patrons. There are plenty of other venues around town to choose from with a nice atmosphere and great service. You’ve...
Read moreThis Restaurant was previously brought by another company. The previous owners service wasn't great however their food was authentic. I got to this restaurant at 2pm and attempted to open the door they were locked. A young lady came to the door and said they were open and took my order. I ordered a Po'boy sandwich with a side of veggies to go $13.99 plus tip 15.99. The décor of the restaurant was very nice and location is prime since they are very close to several huge companies, one being AT&T with the correct marketing a business should have no problem getting clients. I myself will not be returning to this location. They fixed the order while I stepped out to my bank Georgia Own and it was ready upon my return. I ordered my food to go and was very upset upon getting back to my office to find a huge bun hard as a rock, stuffed full of lettuce and tomatoes…with FOUR very small shrimp and a slight sign of sauce. If this business thinks it can get business by cheating customers that is a very sad concept. You would think because they are new, they would try and appeal to the public. I have a catering company myself and if they want to see how a Po'boy is really made they can check out my catering company at Two Chicks & A Pea Catering LLC. My Po'boy Fish & Shrimp sandwiches sold for $10 with one side and they are stuffed to the max. This brought me customer after customer with request for my food. Maybe Anchor Down Should try giving the customer their money's worth, to bring in a crowd. I give this place 1 star for décor and fast service; however it must have taken two minute to throw together what I received. I called to complain and could never get anyone to pick up the phone.

Read moreVery disappointed in this establishment!!! Whoever the manager that was on duty, I guess Linda is her name, was so rude! She didn’t even have the decency to come speak to me as I waited for her to explain why they refried cold wings and expected me to eat them after they were overcooked and unbearable. I waited 47 minutes for my food and they had the nerve to bring them to the table cold!!! Are you serious??? That is unacceptable!! The pasta was very good, and honestly I would’ve sent that back also because it wasn’t hot either; but I was starving and after waiting so long, I couldn’t handle not having anything, simply because I didn’t know how long they would take.
Our server Ki (sp) was a doll, and it’s no fault of hers!!! The kitchen was terrible and the food was poorly handled. They dropped the ball with the customer service!! I will not be returning ! These establishments offer half off everything until 9p, but then deliver piss poor service and could care less what the customer experience is like. I’d rather have my food and drinks and pay full price than to wait almost an hour just to receive cold food. DO BETTER!!!! I’d also like to add that my colleague ordered a hookah and it took over an hour to finally hit the table after constantly reminding the person responsible for the hookah. Overall, highly disappointed!! Would not recommend!!! I would give negative stars if I could! Sorry Ki, you were great!! Do...
