We were craving a variety boil and not wanting to cook after a long day in the sun. This was a great option already cooked and ready to go, albeit pricey ($176 for dinner for 4 with 2 lbs shrimp, 2 dz clams, sausage for 4 and 2 snow crab clusters). Sadly, we got home to find the clams uncooked thoroughly. See pics. We had to remove them and finish cooking to open them and some sand it got in the rest of our food we noticed while taking them out to fix. Frustrating and taste was bland due to not cooking in the seasoning we ordered. Some never opened indicating they were bad. We called them, but their VM was full. We stopped by the next day around noon to share our experience and the older woman with very short hair at the ordering side of the desk denied this happening. We showed her pictures. She then says clams don’t open when cooked; they are opened by someone when we order them out. We are not new to clams. We are aware bad ones won’t open, but the good ones always do to indicate cooked and ready. This was not the response we expected and were taken back by the experience. If you don’t know, say that; it’s ok! Mistakes happen, that would have been ok too and just try to make it right. This denial and telling us we are wrong is just poor customer service. You guys have a good thing going there, a clean place and the crab and shrimp was amazing…get everyone on board with appropriate customer service as the vacation season keeps ramping up.

Last pic is Snapperz clams the next day showing how EVERYONE else serves their cooked...

I have purchased fresh seafood from here the last two times we have been in the Pine Knoll Shores area. This time, on my way out of town, i had to stop and bring some shrimp, grouper, and crab dip back to the Triad because it was so good when we got it and cooked on the island. The jumbo shrimp were some of the best I have had in a long time. Their crab dip is really solid too, it is really sweet and flavorful. We will definitely be back for more the next time we are in that area.

Update 06/26/2020: Just went to Pine Knoll Shores for a short vacation in early June. Came back to Atlantic Beach Seafood twice in the 3 days we were here and stopped on our way out to take back shrimp and crab dip. The seafood was still outstanding and the service was top notch. Can't wait to get back to the Bogue...

Since we like to cook all of our dinners at the beach, good seafood is imperative; Atlantic Market is one of the best, if not the greatest place to get FRESH seasonal seafood. I read another review that mentioned a smaller selection; it should be somewhat limited since they only sell what is running at the time, which means, fresh. off. the. boat. With this, Karen and staff are always welcoming, great to talk to and honest. She and the market are one of the reasons we come back to this area. Plus, she supports local, NC, businesses like Baldwin Beef. Lastly, the dips, desserts and other items they make and/or sell are super terrific. I rarely write lengthy reviews like this, but they are worth the time to convey how...

I recently ordered and took home a steam seafood tray from the Atlantic Beach seafood market and was disappointed by the seafood dish. The food itself lacked flavor. You must buy the seafood at market price, then pay $20 on top of it for the tray and the "seasoning "an extra charge of $5 to cook the first pound and $2.50 for any additional lb. We paid $27.50 to just cook the meal and $30ish to buy the 2lb of shrimp. The accompanying sausage was the only item with noticeable flavor. The wait time for the meal was approximately 35 minutes. Given the price point of $60, I expected a more flavorful and enjoyable experience.

We were in Morehead City for the week and had the best and freshest seafood at Atlantic! This was our Thanksgiving dinner and Karen was fantastic helping us pick out our quantities and was patient ask we asked about 100 questions! Lol! The place was super clean and organized! You can see they take pride in their business and their products!! When we are back in the area we will definitely be back!!! Thanks Karen and staff for a great experience!!
