First time in Emerald Isle, NC. First night of a week-long large family get together and figured pizza would be an easy dinner as groups were all arriving at different times throughout a late Friday afternoon. There was only one menu for an Italian place among those we found at the house we are renting. I looked through their offerings and read a few positive online reviews, so decided to give them a try. They had no one to deliver, but I didn't mind driving the 20 minutes up and back down the barrier island. If nothing else, I'd be able to see what else the area offered.
Ordered five pies (4 "Sicilian - i.e., rectangular deep dish and 1 circular thin white pizza), three salads, and three orders of bread sticks. The four Sicilians were a bit over done and simply weren't that good. The toppings were a bit dried out and the meats didn't seem to be of particularly outstanding quality. Several folks in our group mentioned that the bread sticks were really greasy. Those whom had the salad enjoyed it, though all three came with about a cup of tuna salad scooped on top. This wasn't mentioned in the menu, and no one seemed to want it. I personally felt a bit sick after eating a piece of the chicken parm pizza and what I guess you'd call their version of a supreme. The gentleman that helped to the car, who I believe was the owner was wearing a very dirty chef shirt. They apparently gave me a bag that was meant for another customer, and had to come back out to grab it from me.
The place is very small and a bit hard to find. Google Maps gave me directions that had me cutting through a parking lot I couldn't get through. I sense they might be more of a locals place than one for week getaway types like us.
The entire meal cost over $200, which seemed really high, particularly given the quality.
Overall, very average. I wouldn't to someone to go out of their way to try it....
Read moreI heard about Venice through a friend. Then heard about it from another friend and hadn't tried it yet. We decided to take a trip and check it out. I have to say I was a little surprised to find out it was a takeout place. There is a deck with outside seating but no table service. It was hot outside but we decided to sit on the deck and try it anyway. I'm glad we did. We split a chicken parmesan sandwich with a side of fries, thinking we didn't want to eat pasta outside. The sandwich was great. The chicken was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. It was so hot I had to let it cool off a little bit. The fries were excellent. I don't know if they are hand cut but they looked like it and tasted great. While we sat there and ate several people came through to pick up orders they had called in. We saw one man and his son carrying six trays away from the stand. I'm guessing he had friends and family over and was planning to feed them with it. Several other people came through and bought large amounts of food as well. If it was closer to me I would definitely try other items on their menu. All I can say is I really enjoyed what I had and I think you...

We’ve dined here three times in just half a week—and that alone should tell you how exceptional this place is. From the moment you walk in, you’re treated like family. Felicia, our server, is a true standout—warm, personable, and seemingly knows every guest by name. She brings a personal touch that’s rare these days, and it makes all the difference.
We ordered the Chicken Parmigiana, Tour of Venice, fried ravioli, and of course, their fresh bread. Every dish was served hot, fresh, and bursting with authentic flavor. You can taste the care and tradition in every bite.
The eat-in area is small, but spotless—clearly run with pride and attention to detail. And then there’s Orlando, the owner. His presence and hospitality add to the welcoming atmosphere, making you feel like you’re visiting an old friend’s kitchen rather than a restaurant.
If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and stop in. One visit and you’ll understand why this place has already become our go-to spot. Exceptional food, heartwarming service, and a setting that just feels right—this is the kind of place you’ll keep...
