5-9-23 Place looks small and unassuming from outside. Walk in and see a deli counter like you see in Hollywood movies. There were a few free standing tables and maybe 6 booths. We were welcomed and the lone counter worker brought over menus once we sat. She offered freshly made tea, which we accepted. We then ordered, calzone for my wife, angel hair pasta with mushroom sauce for me. While we waited the lady appeared again with fresh baked bread and olive oil w/spices to dip in. It was good, but we did miss Balsamic Vinegar we add at home. Both dishes were fresh made. The calzone was stuffed with ricotta, mushrooms and green peppers, marinara on the side and all fabulous. The Angel Hair was light and delicate, could tell it was freshly made. The sauce had thinly sliced mushrooms and other seasonings. Both plates were large enough we brought home leftovers for supper. We saw obvious locals that came in, some ordered take out, others dined in. We noticed we got the same greeting as the locals and the lady at the counter stayed friendly with everyone that came in the door.

Amazing Meal! Excellent customer service! Delicious food! They are currently cash only, so be sure to bring some with you! We have fallen in love with visiting Atlantic Beach, and this year we are trying to branch out and try some new food spots. Venice Italian Kitchen and Deli did not disappoint. The salad was super fresh, the lasagna was rich and delicious, the chicken marsala was tender and flavorful, and the bread was fresh and warm! The food was high quality and very affordable!! There was cheesecake staring me down at checkout, so next time I'll bring extra cash to grab a little dessert! They did an excellent job packaging our food for takeout. You definitely could eat here at a few indoor and outdoor tables, but the vibe is definitely more geared towards takeout. We will definitely be ordering from here again in future visits!

Edited on the next day, we went back! We split The Taste of Venice. Great Marinara Sauce. They must simmer it all day. Original review follows: Worth it! The food is great! Staff are friendly, even at the end of the day. Best antipasta salad I've ever had. Slightly non-traditional, they serve it with lettuce and Italian dressing. Cauliflower and mushrooms are pickled, red peppers are roasted. Meat cold cuts are generous. Pretty presentation. Warm Italian loaf bread and olive oil are wonderful. No alcohol sales, but of note, they carry fresca. Small place, so come early and be patient. Service is not slow, but you may not be instaneously seated and served. They do a brisk takeout business as well.

First time in Emerald Isle, NC. First night of a week-long large family get together and figured pizza would be an easy dinner as groups were all arriving at different times throughout a late Friday afternoon. There was only one menu for an Italian place among those we found at the house we are renting. I looked through their offerings and read a few positive online reviews, so decided to give them a try. They had no one to deliver, but I didn't mind driving the 20 minutes up and back down the barrier island. If nothing else, I'd be able to see what else the area offered.

Ordered five pies (4 "Sicilian - i.e., rectangular deep dish and 1 circular thin white pizza), three salads, and three orders of bread sticks. The four Sicilians were a bit over done and simply weren't that good. The toppings were a bit dried out and the meats didn't seem to be of particularly outstanding quality. Several folks in our group mentioned that the bread sticks were really greasy. Those whom had the salad enjoyed it, though all three came with about a cup of tuna salad scooped on top. This wasn't mentioned in the menu, and no one seemed to want it. I personally felt a bit sick after eating a piece of the chicken parm pizza and what I guess you'd call their version of a supreme. The gentleman that helped to the car, who I believe was the owner was wearing a very dirty chef shirt. They apparently gave me a bag that was meant for another customer, and had to come back out to grab it from me.

The place is very small and a bit hard to find. Google Maps gave me directions that had me cutting through a parking lot I couldn't get through. I sense they might be more of a locals place than one for week getaway types like us.

The entire meal cost over $200, which seemed really high, particularly given the quality.

Overall, very average. I wouldn't to someone to go out of their way to try it....

I heard about Venice through a friend. Then heard about it from another friend and hadn't tried it yet. We decided to take a trip and check it out. I have to say I was a little surprised to find out it was a takeout place. There is a deck with outside seating but no table service. It was hot outside but we decided to sit on the deck and try it anyway. I'm glad we did. We split a chicken parmesan sandwich with a side of fries, thinking we didn't want to eat pasta outside. The sandwich was great. The chicken was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. It was so hot I had to let it cool off a little bit. The fries were excellent. I don't know if they are hand cut but they looked like it and tasted great. While we sat there and ate several people came through to pick up orders they had called in. We saw one man and his son carrying six trays away from the stand. I'm guessing he had friends and family over and was planning to feed them with it. Several other people came through and bought large amounts of food as well. If it was closer to me I would definitely try other items on their menu. All I can say is I really enjoyed what I had and I think you...

A Hidden Gem That Feels Like Home

We’ve dined here three times in just half a week—and that alone should tell you how exceptional this place is. From the moment you walk in, you’re treated like family. Felicia, our server, is a true standout—warm, personable, and seemingly knows every guest by name. She brings a personal touch that’s rare these days, and it makes all the difference.

We ordered the Chicken Parmigiana, Tour of Venice, fried ravioli, and of course, their fresh bread. Every dish was served hot, fresh, and bursting with authentic flavor. You can taste the care and tradition in every bite.

The eat-in area is small, but spotless—clearly run with pride and attention to detail. And then there’s Orlando, the owner. His presence and hospitality add to the welcoming atmosphere, making you feel like you’re visiting an old friend’s kitchen rather than a restaurant.

If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and stop in. One visit and you’ll understand why this place has already become our go-to spot. Exceptional food, heartwarming service, and a setting that just feels right—this is the kind of place you’ll keep...
