1st Cup Coffee — Restaurant in Atlantic Highlands

Overall, it's a decent place to get coffee

The shop is pretty easy to see from the road. The parking situation is street parking. I haven't gone during the summer, so I can't speak to the summer parking, but in February, it was pretty easy to find a close spot. I would imagine it would be worse in the summer, so just prepare for that.

The inside is a cosy coffee shop. It is on the smaller side, and there was a line when we got there. It seems popular with the locals. Based on the photos, it looks like they have live music.

They have espresso, drip coffee, cold brew, tea, and smoothie drinks. You can get pour over coffee as an alternative to drip coffee. I haven't tried it, but I figured I'd mention it. They also serve baked goods like bagels, muffins, and dessert breads. Service was relatively quick and easy.

I had an iced latte, and it was fine. No issues. I had to add a little syrup, though. The condiment bar had simple syrup, which is good to see. They do use paper straws, which I appreciate but don't necessarily like because they go soggy...

1st Cup Coffee is very reasonable & the coffee is delicious in the wonderful town of Atlantic Highlands. You will get great service as well. They have seating to come & relax or grab your coffee & go. 1st Cup has an amazing room in the back that you can rent for a very low cost. I just had an event for my real estate business here & they treated me top notch with great coffee. If you need space for a local event or you are having a speaker, this is the place to be. Im sorry but Don’t get the matcha. I dunno what this is but it’s really bad :( I drink matcha all the time and this is not the correct matcha or prepared correctly. The correct matcha for drinking is ceremonial grade and must be prepared the right way. The cooking matcha is this color and not for drinks. This actually left a really bad feeling in my mouth and made my stomach extremely upset. My coworker who also drinks matcha regularly ordered this also could not drink...
