Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Atoka

We don't eat here very often, and we aren't very excited to go back anytime soon. We got there and ordered and when our food arrived my tots container was half full. Had to send that back to be filled. My son's fries were mushy and his bbq popcorn chicken barely had any sauce on them (they're supposed to be covered completely in sauce). My other son's drink had so much ice in it that he finished in 3 gulps and he was still thirsty. We had left and gone for gas though when my mom had me try her diet coke, which didn't taste like what she had ordered. It was a cherry diet coke, which she didn't order and can't drink because she can't have the sugar in the cherry flavor. We went back to Sonic and told them about the upcharge we didn't ask for but were charged for anyway, and asked for the drink to be re-made. Mom got a new drink and we gave back the old one, but there was no apology for the error in the upcharge. I should have demanded a refund based on principle alone but it was only $.20 so I let it go. Also, my cherry limeade was pretty gross and they're usually amazing and I ended up pouring it into my front yard. Very disappointing. I gave 3 stars because the rest of the meal was okay, but the next time I crave a burger I'll go elsewhere. Sad, because we used to come here all the time. It's just not the...

This location used to be alright. It was hit or miss on the overall quality of food, but was usually a safe bet.

After today, I will not return to this location. I ordered breakfast like I had done before, and everything got to me quickly and was fresh, which was great, until I get to the last few fries and to my shock, there is a small steel screw inside one of the fries.

I'm not sure if this is something that got overlooked during maintenance on something, or what caused this to be an issue, but this should never happen. Aside from chipping my tooth, had this been in a kids meal, that kid could have seriously been injured or even worse.

I've been coming to this location for over 15 years, and this is the first time something like this has happened. I understand human error, and I can forgive forgetting something or getting an order wrong, because it's no big deal.

But having a screw in your breakfast is not only very dangerous, but could also be life threatening.

I ordered ahead using the Sonic app. I ordered 4 drinks and some fries. I had to wait an extraordinary amount of time once I checked in to receive my order. (What's the point of ordering ahead, right?!?) They forgot my extra ranch and one of my drinks. No big deal, I thought. The girl said someone would bring it right out. Someone brought me more ranch. I asked about my drink, and was told again that someone would bring it right out. After several minutes, no one brought my drink and I had to once again ask for it. I didn't ask for a drink carrier because I assumed with that many drinks I would automatically get one. My mistake. And the fries were definitely not fresh and didn't seem like a full order.
