Chinese Kitchen — Restaurant in Atwater

Got an order of Chicken and Mushroom as well as Sweet and Sour Pork. The Sweet and Sour Pork was overly chewy and hard to eat. Called them and let them know and asked to bring it back to swap for something else. Could already hear the grumbling on their end. Bear in mind we tried maybe 4 or 5 pieces between the the 4 of us. The box wasn't overly full and the $13.95 price for that quantity was already a bit much. Anyways, I get the main gal I would assume is a manager or owner sees me and asks me to hand it to her. She then goes on a lightweight rant about how she will swap it this time but not the next because it was half eaten. I explained to her that nobody was eating it. I felt disrespected that the gal would try to get the last word in by saying we ate it. I told her nevermind throw it away and we will just get a refund. She gave me a hard time about that as well. We won't return to this establishment. The fact that they raised their prices and then are giving less quantity isn't very appealing at all. I understand the cost of business has gone up. But raising prices and giving less for the customer's hard earned money...

I don't recall how we found this place but it's delicious. They have a steam table with many dishes ready to serve. There is usually a line when we got in but they move quickly. Usually we get the 3 items plates because we want to try it ALL. The food was fresh. Tasted great. Favorites are the broccoli beef, sesame chicken, orange chicken, sweet and sour pork, and the barbecue pork was awesome. The food is to go. There is no place to eat- dine in is not an option. Did I mention they are quick? There is the option to order from the menu if you are not wanting the ready to serve dishes. Either way,...

I have been going here for years and it is by far the best in town for Chinese food. Fast service, great value and good customer service. For $14 they will fill a triple plate for you with the box barely able to close. Great value. Also, the food is great which is surprising for how much they give you. The must go to place for Chinese food in Atwater! The only downside is the interior of the restaurant, which is not made at all for in house eating. I don’t see this as a problem though because that’s not what this place is meant to be. This store is made for to go orders...
