Heathco's Pizza and Variety — Restaurant in Auburn

I dislike having to give this rating, because I have ordered from this place multiple times over the past year and initially the food was decent, but there has definitely been a serious decline in quality over the past few weeks.

Literally ever 'hot' food item I have ordered in recent times has been DISGUSTINGLY dripping grease. From the fries, to the pizza, to the cooked sandwiches. I'm not sure if it's because the cooks are in a rush or if they are literally just pouring oil into pans without thinking, but every delivery I have received recently has soaked through bags because of how drenched in oil the food is. I was delivered a breakfast sandwich and fries today that were both inedible: completely covered in grease, soggy, couldn't taste anything else, and certainly couldn't stomach either.

I have noticed through the process of having my order taken that there are a bunch of teenagers/very young adults that have been added to the staff in recent times and I think that is more than likely the reason behind these last few dissatisfying experiences. Unfortunately, I will probably not be ordering from here again. When something makes your stomach immediately hurt from being drowned in grease and you can't even taste the actual food you are ordering, it's a horrible feeling and...

Been here twice now. Both times for a pizza and a couple sandwiches. Tried something different each time. The last time we tried a specialty sandwich of the month called the Sargeant. It was a toasted sub type sandwich with several types of meat. Each of the meat items were cut up into small pieces so that it could be stuffed into the roll more easily I assume. I had never seen this type of sandwich prepared in such a way before. Maybe if we were not cutting it into smaller portions to share it would have been easier to handle for eating, but we had some difficulty keeping the contents in with smaller cut pieces. It certainly was tasty and filled though. The other sandwich was a very flavorful and tasty turkey and ham italian, which also was very well filled with meat, unlike other places where there is only one slice of meat. The pizza was again delicious this time we ordered the meats pizza. It was very well cooked and delicious. They have some core staff, but also looked like there were new people being trained. It may have taken a little longer while training was happening, but totally worth the wait. They have a pretty decent selection of specialty pizza and sandwiches along side standard menu fare. Anxious to try again. Excellent little place at the top...

Before the new owner bought the place; I loved Heathco’s.. The food was delicious. The prices were decent. The employees who took my orders by phone were okay.. sometimes I had to tell them not to repeat my credit card information out loud after reading it to them. There were a couple employees who had extremely good customer service! And when I ordered take-out, I could also request stuff to be delivered from the store side; Like milk, chips and other random things and THAT really helped out after getting out of the hospital after a major surgery, when trying to drive to a grocery store was way too painful!

And honestly, they still do most of that.. but the new owner raised all the prices way to high. I had to stop ordering food and buying store items. Your “restaurant food” cost more than food from an actual dine in restaurant like Longhorns and that’s just NUTS!

An when I decided to get food from this place, I would always ordered A LOT of food and groceries from y’all.. at least 2 to 3 times a week and the bill was usually $60 to $70; but with your new owners price hikes.. it made my regular order damn near close to $100; I straight up refuse to shop at your store, I’d rather walk miles to a grocery store or restaurant to buy food an...
